I don't think you drop Monaco. It has been there 100 years, you want to be part of it.

The emphasis should be on qualifying, maybe just do a sprint.

I still think they should have Monaco spec cars, half-sized cars. Maybe let them throw a bunch of money at it. Or have someone else build them.

If they had a smaller spec car, maybe they could run it at Laguna or some other old tracks.

Max throwing his toys out of the pram. The collision with Leclerc seemed like a bit of nothing but I did think the team were overly cautious telling him to give the place back to Russell. Him crashing into Russell afterwards was just ridiculous though.

Crazy ending. Max clearly drifted into Charles. Then George clearly hit Max off track. Red Bull telling Max to give the place "back" to George was completely idiotic. Max then faking out giving the place back to George and ramming him wheels to wheels was massively unprofessional.

0% chance Max is still at Red Bull next year. In his mind, he's already gone.

He was clearly on tilt the moment he realized he was on hard tires.

Too much to ask to have just one person interviewing the top 3? #awkward

Maybe if RB planned their weekend better, Max has a set of softs left like every other driver did, and he finishes 3rd rather than 10th.

Max didn’t help himself but the team screwed him.

That was because of the 3-stopper. They came into the race with as many sets of softs as everyone else. I'm not sure if the 3-stopper was pre-planned or if they had more tire wear than expected so changed strategy mid-race but either way it was much more difficult for them to have planned to have an extra set for the completely unexpected safety car (I think there hasn't been one for many years at Barcelona - there wasn't even a single yellow flag last year).

Max given 3 penalty points takes him to 11/12, one point in Canada and he’s disqualified from Austria. Two points expire on June 30.

I don't think we can say this.

I mean, look where we were exactly 1 year ago. Max had won 7 of the first 10 races and had a bigger gap to the field than McLaren does now to him. We were all saying the season was turbo over.

Then McLaren made massive improvements to the car and Lando made a big push. Max then had 0 wins in the next 10. Lando just made too many mistakes to fully capitalize. I think if you put this year's Oscar in Lando's spot last year that he probably beats Max.

This year, Red Bull doesn't even need massive improvements, just a slight upgrade and Max can roll off a few wins in a row.

I TOTALLY AGREE with that penalty... that action is not only dangerous, it affects the nature of Formula 1 by portray the sport in a negative light.

I bet Lawson is relieved that the Max tantrum has taken the spotlight away from his kamikaze antics

The dumb thing is if he had started out with 7/12 they would have given him +4 to still put him 1 short. They obviously didn't want to give him an actual race ban.

Veekay finishes dead last in IndyCar, Max clowns it up on the track. Not a great day for Dutch open-wheel drivers today.

Max should be banned for next race which happens to coincide with Le Mans where Drugovich left a free spot on his team because he is most likely replacing Stroll. Sadly they gave Max only 3 penalty points so he has 1 point left.

Also I think Piastri will take this WDC pretty comfortably.

2 insane displays of car control by Max, first when his car snapped halfway around coming to the green and he held onto it and second, somehow sending his message to Russell with just enough contact, but not putting either out. It just sucks that he's such an unlikeable personality. And yah, prob deserves a 1-race ban on top of the time penalty.

I thought Russell’s post-race comments were very interesting. He had every right to be angry but he seemed more disappointed and sad that Max again proved he’s a psychopath.

Don’t get me started. Liam was a menace and I felt he deserved a penalty. We will definitely see Liam involved in more skirmishes this year.

I like that Max sort of apologized.

I like him better as a villain.
