President Donald Trump

President Donald Trump

I assume it's still acceptable to have a Trump thread in a Politics forum?

So this is an obvious lie - basically aimed at

I think Trump's a gobshite.

Then I guess you don't need to be defensive here.

I like how you guys are dealing with Gandhi.

Now do Mandela

By the way Foucault was probably a PoS too but also one of the most quoted sociologists for the 20th century.

"Probably": he was a signatory of a petition to remove the age of consent in France.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/French_pet...

He also reportedly raped a large number of Tunisian young boys.

He wasn't "one of the most quoted sociologists". He is the most quoted "social scientist" in all social disciplines.

That's the state of academia.

That's why leftism is the biggest human made threat humanity has ever faced.

Making fun of names or using dumb nicknames is a super reliable indicator of bad posting in a politics forum. Barack Hussein Obama, Drumpf, Kopala, etc., is almost always followed by nonsense.

Man, you're saying you think Playbig was a bad poster? Wash your mouth out with soap right now!

Ok I did laugh hard at that.

As ever, nothing will come of it cos Dems are ****ing useless.

by Trolly McTrollson

Honey, your owner Trump already kicked Elon to the curb, you don't have to embarrass yourself like this anymore for the weird drug-addled electric car Nazi.

esp when he is going to be a speaker at the next Dem convention

I'll never forget Toothsayer ranting about manipulating names as the lowest denomination of wit imaginable.

At this point, if it turns out Trump is involved with the Epstein stuff, the only thing the MAGA chodes will do is start explaining to everyone why banging underage girls is actually a good thing.

Why would quote something positive from someone who had some really bad qualities? Whether you realise it or not, naming who you're quoting implies that the quote has merit simply because Ghandi said so.

It can be but it's also commonly just giving credit to the right person.

It is ironic to now see the such vocal critics emerging when for so long the the ethos around here was so strongly 'you **** one goat' rather than anything reasonable.

I don’t see how this contradicts any of what I said. And no, just because he was probably a PoS that doesn’t mean he didn’t have insights/reasons why people quote him. This is literally the same guilt by association/genetic fallacy that wokies perform all the time, just in reverse.

There should be some rule for posting AI shit.

there is no "probably".

He was a true moral monster simple as that.

and because of that , any of his insights with any moral connotation should be completely discarded and actually, the opposite of whatever moral related claims he made becomes automatically more plausibly true because of his existence.

it's not "association", it's as simple as you do not learn any moral from immoral monsters.

now if he managed to prove any factual causal claim about reality, measurable and reproducible ones, those would be untouched by his moral character sure.

Just correcting you on your substandard trolling, which you actually just outdid with your latest waffle.

There should be some rule for posting AI ****.

There was a conversation where one person was exclusively responding with screen shots of AI output and that isn't allowed, but the occasional AI slop is basically unavoidable

That Logic means Biden is as well . WE all know Gates and Clinton are

there is no "logic" happening here

that's a snippet from Google search about a claim that can be checked (Foucault is the most cited author in social sciences), what would the problem be with it?

I hope you guys realize that's how search will be very soon for everyone

We could definiteley replace your dumb ass with a macro. Easiest one to write in the world, too - anything negative posted about any consevative, just respond with "Whatabout Brandon? Whatabout Kopala?"

i've used perplexity.ai as my default search engine for 6 months or so. standard google search is balls

No his logic is because Trump hasn't released it yet he must be one of the ones . So why didn't Biden release it

If I was to guess why Trump would not release it as he is greasing everyone on the list to buy his Trump coin I wouldn't put that past him . Would I be shocked if he was on the list? Nope

Though I bet there are a ton of names on that list that would shock us. I have no doubt Clinton is on the list

The myopic part is that Gandhi is a huge anticolonial figure, despite his issues, including anticolonialisn in South Africa. There’s a reason he’s being quoted and it’s not his racism or sexism. This post proves that you are being myopic, comparing him to Trump and Hitler. The context of his life is clearly way different.

Yeah it hasn't come out yet that Trump likes 13 year olds, prefreabky naked, so maybe you're right and I am in fact being myopic.

By the way Foucault was probably a PoS too but also one of the most quoted sociologists for the 20th century.

That certainly dissipates his desire to decriminalise rape and decriminalise raping minors. And there's no probably about it, he was definitely a pos.

Seeing as Foucalt wasn't the only sociologist of the 20th century, maybe academics should quote some other eminent sociologist?
