In Elonspeak, it must mean something more than "knew Jeffrey Epstein." Trump has expressly admitted to knowing Epstein, and everyone has seen the photos of them together. If that's all Elon meant, the comment about it being "a really big bomb" would be nonsensical.
Again, I'm not crediting Elon with telling the truth. It's entirely possible that his suggestion that there is something damaging to Trump in the Epstein files is a complete fabrication.

Why would we just assume Trump being in the Epstein files means he did something nefarious? It's not as if he has been found by a jury to have committed sexual..., which the judge explicitly called rape. Nor is there any reason to think he would be interested in underage girls, like admitting he "likes them young" or admitting he used to intentionally enter.... Nor is there any very damning video testimony of underage....

No, it's not a hard leap if you have an IQ < 50. Which he does. And my post was designed to point out. As you probably realize, the president doesn't have control over the release of the Epstein files, so there is no logic at all to it.
