I do think, as an internal critique of Trump supporters, that the criticism goes through. Many of them are convinced that the Epstein logs are good evidence the Democrats have a pedophile cabal or are beholden to a pedophile cabal. So they would have to make a special pleading for why Trump being on the logs would not be evidence Trump was part of that cabal or beholden to that cabal.

I thought he was only convicted once, in Florida, on child-prostitution charges to which he pleaded guilty, and got just 13 months. Over ten years later, he died while on remand awaiting trial, this time on federal charges of sex-trafficking minors.
