Back in the Game – My Phillipines Poker Journey with SV Poker

BTW bet88 is a bit on the sketchy side. Had a 31k profitable day earlier this week then played a ton of hands over roughly 21 hours today and lost about 7 buy ins but it was in the most ridiculous ways. Getting a set in v AQo and all he has is a fd and we run it twice he hits a flush on the first board runner runner Broadway on the 2nd. Flop top pair with a gunshot royal flush draw and the nut flush draw guy calls down 3 streets in a 3b pot oop with just a gunshot and we end up chopping. Playing heads up 3b T8s flop trip 8s guy had J8o he holds. Just tons of hands like that I er and over for about 21 hours with breaks through out the day. The run bad today was unrealistic.

I have 0 line poker options that I feel comfortable with. There are some poker clubs not to far from me but idk if the games are any good I can't image they would be and then even though the Phillipines is pretty safe, poverty does lead people to commit crimes and I would hate to win a decent amount of money in one if these clubs then have to take a grab to go home and just put myself in a higher risk situation than I need to so really I'm stuck with online games. The last week on bet88 is making me question the integrity of their games. The player pool is small yet it seems you get the same 95% of players playing pretty much any hour of the day you play with a few legit players here and there then you throw in the ridiculous run bad that happened yesterday and it really seem suspicious even my previous backer was playing there and decided he's probably going to move his action back to other sites.

I have a story to tell I just need to find a way to tell it I think we are going to go the YouTube route do a little vlog play on some better sites I know are legit and try to run it up, in short I need about 50k php more for baby expenses and come October I'd like to travel back to the US so my wife and son can meet my family and we are looking at about 1.5k for seats each one way if we don't want to sit in the cheap seats with a 3 month old which I don't. So we need about $900 in the next 2 months and another 6k by October. I can make this happen though

Just to clear my name about the other guy no longer backing me until I had another backer, my backer had some stuff happen and had to end thr deal, we both made pretty good profit off the deal. Offered the other guy who swore be was still backing me to stake me again in cash games and he responded with no thanks.

So obviously he was no longer and is no longer backing me as i previously stated.

Major case of crazy ex gf syndrome. He doesn't want me but no one else can have me either....smh

I think I'm just going to rebuild on my own can't find a staking deal I'm fond of at the moment.

So I thought, self, how can we win the most at low stakes? PLO!

I've played a decent amount of PLO before not a expert at all but shouod be able to beat plo25 easy enough and with some work rebuild quick so I think that's what we are going to do. Updates to come

Gonna have to wait for Iowa tax return to get started it looks like a bit low on funds since my son could be here any day but is planned to be here last week of this month or first week of next month. Kind of hoping for a 4th of July baby since me and his mom are both December 26th birthdays

Got some news thought my son was going to be here the first week of July now it's looking like around the 26th of June based off of ultrasound results today.

With that being said we are going to try to scrape something together we need to be grinding and creating some form of EV.

Ever since I got out of the Army in 2016 I always had some of EV always being generated either when I was playing or doing CFP with micro stakes players or other investments but sadly my move down here cost me a lot more than I expected and some of the appointments for the baby were a bot pricey considering we are going to private health care not the free public health care so all of that and being the only source of income I need to find some EV to generate somewhere.

Scrapped together some funds to play 10nl not great but it's ev and rebuilding. Made like $33 it's not huge but it's 2 buy ins and 1840 php so we'll take it and we didn't put a bunch of a ton in today but tomorrow we will grind more

Up another like 5 buy ins today slowly building this bankroll btw playing micros sucks just as much now as it did in 2016 when u got into poker.

Basically due to bankroll restrains I'm playing with like 4-6 buy ins thank God the games are soft af

My biggest poker accomplishment that I'm most proud of strangely isn't beating any high stakes games or winning a big tournament. It's when I was a consistent streamer and I was doing micro stakes 6 max coaching for profit. I had students tell me 2nl and 5nl wasn't beatable and that's why they were making anymore and what I was doing at 100nl and 200nl didn't work at micros. So ai withdrew all but $3 from my ACR balance. I played 2nl and bought it for table minimum. Obv there was some decent variance to start but it took about a week of playing as many table as I could at the peak it was around 12-14 but I did run it up to over $30

Doesn't seem like a lot but I 10xd my br buying in starting at .60.

Anything is beatable if you're good enough and any amount of bankroll can be ran up.

Current bankroll is 14k so we are up 9k from the start we keep up this momentum and we will have a decent bankroll within the week.

Also bet88 gave us a free 2.5k 250k php gtd ticket for tomorrow night at 8pm so there is a chance for a bankroll boost there.

But it's a PKO 8 minute levels and the entire prize pool is bounties so that's pretty dqmn annoying tbh

I still have mixed feelings on bet88 the games are crazy soft and I crush them. Example last backer had me on there and I had a 30k+ day mostly one tabling at 25/50

AndbI had like 4/5 winning days and they losing daybwas less than 2k.

Then suddenly I had a day where I played a ton over a 20 hour period put in a ton of volume and couldn't win a single hand and lost about 30k.

The variance was just unreal same fish as normal but they'd get all in V my set run it twice hit a flish on top board and running Broadway on the second. Just really strange stuff like that. Flop trips heads up get out kicked, flush over flush. I understand variance fine but I don't think I've ever put in that much volume and just lost every big pots I played.

But then I moved money back to bet88 yesterday and crushed the 2k games again so I'm not to sure what going on tbh lol.

Lost 1 2k buy in today made about 2k in bets on the UFC and also won a 2nd ticket to the 250k main tomorrow night so good luck us.

What a night. Found a good 5k games running full of fish dat down quickly qon 2. My uns br is now more healthy at 20k about $360 usd still got a bunch of bets out for the up coming ufc fights. Got a huge 13 fight parlay that would be amazing to hit, we won't but we can imagine the 100k+ win we'd get off of it if we did.

Tomorrow at 8pm philippines time we got 2 shots at the 250k gtd. Would be a huge come up to do well there. We do have 2 tickets so we have a decent shot Sadly it's a pure bounty only tournament, pko no prize pool and it's their run it twice series so even in mtts you can run it twice, 8 miniye levels as well so should be chaos.

Also the final 5 players regardless of bounties get a live package to go play in the okada millions next weekend. I really don't want to go because my son can be born anytime in the next 19 days or so and with my luck id travel 2 hours to play the tournament then my wife would go into labor. So since I don't want to go I'm sure we will win a package just because that's how my life goes.

But the bankroll is on the up and up and we are slowly grinding through these micros

I am so tired right now. After we ran the bankroll to 20k last night another good 5k games kicked about an hour later so I said let's play it and risk 1 buy in max. Several hours later the bankroll is over 40k and we now have a semi legit bankroll to play micros with including 25nl.

The question is do we move back to ignition or stay on bet88 and deal with possible collusion and shadiness that's going on or just move back to ignition. I'm still undecided.

So I'm a part of many different content creators discords. Some offer bets some offer different gambling strategies for games like mines keno limbo and other and I've been testing a few and I made a couple thousand from them nothing to crazy.

Well today I tried one it's higher variance I had a 2.5k stop loss we were one bet away from stop loss and we hit 3 out of a for 99k.

Holy we have a bankroll now. I 100% would not suggest this strategy and I'll likely not use it again, it's decent if u can hit 2/3 often but if u hit a bunch of dead spins like I did the better gets BIG fast.

If you're curious what it is though it was keno 3 spot on medium increase on loss by 50%
The 50% increase will allow hitting 2/3 to recover losses and hit a slight profit, we just got lucky and hit 3/3 at basically our max possible bet.

With that being said I do have some debts to pay so I'll take probably 100-200 out of the bankroll to pay towards those.

Pick 4 spots 9x payout
Increase on loss by 20-25%

The down swings can be pretty big but it's typically not to bad and you can make a decent amount of profit. It at has to run for several hundred bets.
