He's close with his folks and has many friends who would happily give him the shirt off their back, has a part-time job and lots a free time. Sure, not doing poker the way most of us do it and probably has a gambling addiction that will probably cause him and those close to him lots of pain in the future. Personally hope he faces up to it at some point and tackles it head-on.

Eh he's probably living a more enjoyable life than a lot of people who hate their 9-5. It might not be a better plan long term but he barely works, gambles all day, at least occasionally gets pussy, partying on a regular basis. From a having fun perspective he's likely beating 90%+ of the planet not just the impoverished.
