Hopped on today and the Global Poker section is not there anymore.

Are purchases with credit cards considered cash advances now? Does anyone else see a cash advance fee on their credit card statements?
Sorry for this set of noobyish questions. I don't know anything about Discord, but have decided I want to follow their Global group. I found a post in this thread from over a year ago that said I could find a link to it on GPs support/help page. But either I don't see it, or it got removed. So, I'm guessing I need to figure out how to get an invite? And do I need to create an account on Discord before anything else?
Thanks in advance.
Go to Globalpoker.com, do not sign in. Scroll the page slightly down. Below the title: THE ULTIMATE SOCIAL POKER EXPERIENCE ONLINE with a list of all the games offered is the discord link

One of the big sites had a similar "confiscation of funds from dormant accounts" rule in their T&C a good number of years ago, but after "someone" drew everyone's attention to it, here, they changed it to the far more reasonable:
"If you do not log in to your account for a consecutive period of 12 months for reasons other than self-exclusion in accordance with the Responsible Gaming Policy, your account will be considered a 'dormant account'. Before an account becomes a dormant account, we will use reasonable efforts to notify you via the most current contact details you provided to us. Following your account becoming a dormant account, for security reasons we will suspend the balance in the account at that time to ensure the balance is safe and secure. This means you may not see your balance in your account if you attempt to log-in. However your rights to the balance in your account are unaffected and , you can at any time contact us via live chat to request access to any positive balance in your account before the account became a dormant account. Following your request and following our completion of any identity verification checks we need to undertake, we will restore access to your account and such positive balance where we are reasonably able to do so, or if we are not reasonably able to restore access to your account, we will refund the positive balance directly to you."
Perhaps you could discuss the obvious unfairness of their rule with Global Poker and ask them to consider a change along the lines of the above?
Please keep us informed of how they receive such a fair and reasonable suggestion.
Good luck.

This was their reply.
Thank you for contacting Global Poker Customer Support.
We appreciate you sharing the suggestion from the forum. That approach does sound thoughtful and we understand where you're coming from.
At the moment, Global Pokerβs current policy regarding inactive accounts follows the Sweeps Rules outlined here: https://globalpoker.com/sweeps-rules
Weβve passed along your feedback to the relevant team. While we canβt make any promises about policy changes, weβre always looking for ways to improve the player experience.
Please let us know if you have further questions or need help with anything else.
I shall be patient for the time being and see how things go.
Thanks again for the advice, Mike Haven.
Doubtful, Global pulled out of NY because they received a cease and desist from the attorney general. Even if the states don't pass laws they are still trying to force sweeps sites out. Louisiana's Governor just vetoed the sweepstakes bill as well but said they will also be sending out cease and desist. Sweeps sites are going to die slowly...how slow is anyones guess
Same thing happened when Global left Nevada almost a year ago, before any law was passed and haven't returned
I made a post in this thread the other day regarding Global Poker's confiscating just over $3300 from my account for failure to log into the site for 90 consecutive days with no notice provided.
That has now been moved into its own thread on the "Discussion of Poker Sites" subforum.

Please comment there if you have any experience dealing with this rule or any general comments or advice (potshots at me are welcome as well). Mike Haven has given me some extremely helpful advice already, and I will be updating the thread as communication between Global and me progresses.
Thanks!

When this has happened previously in this thread they've credited the account the SC after emailing them, strange that they're not doing so this time.
Is there a way to enter a 2.5 x BB raise preflop without typing it in? I thought there used to be an "increase bet amount in increments of one sb" option. But I can't find it this time around. Any help would be appreciated.
This AI is wrong, the NY sweepstakes ban passed the Senate and the Assembly.
Games are really dying on here. There's a lot less action than Clubwptgold and Clubspoker despite Global having far superior interface, rakeback and the lowest rake. Influencers should be shilling for Global but the dumb WPT brand and their terrible software is somehow winning out. I don't get it. But it sure is frustrating.

Influencers shill for who pays them lols ... how have you not figured this out
Obviously I have you troll. I'm saying they should shove their deal and shill for Global.
im having weird issues with tables loading super slowly but not all of them. Anyone else seeing this?
It's been common ever since someone's brother-in-law was given free reign over the software.
I got a pop up message when i signed in to global this morning. It said California is looking to ban sweepstakes poker? does anyone have more info on this? how much time do we have left? this is a very sad day =(
