did I miss something - why can't he show his laptop when he's playing the online

He just followed his first bullet.

Youtube/Google are cracking down on some gambling content

Calls its off, and is eliminated on the turn. Says "he had him so destroyed"

A few moments later...

So I guess it was literally 50/50 on the turn.

Isn't this his exact "PLO IS MY JAM" thesis? Just get in any 4 cards, it's a "flip", but he doesn't recognize this?

The O8 and limit holdem final tables were probably partly televised on Pokergo because of Blom being in them as well as Negreanu.

The NL 27 has usually been televised in the past and usually has bigger names in it than this time. Last year Seiver, Seidel, and Harmon at that final table. This time Negreanu was the only old school player left, which is unusual in the that tournament.

The stories on Poker News etc. talk about Negreanu's string of deep runs. Apparently, they don't realize he is an amateur and hustler as people here are aware.

He is still in the $250K on his first bullet.

I doubt Blom brings in many views.

It's actually funny how your sarcasm makes my point for me. He's probably the most marketable person in poker at this point and he's far from the best. It's almost like he makes millions and millions of dollars in as a brand ambassador and that's how he makes his living. The horror!

What he wins or loses each year on average his wife probably spends on shoes. It's also funny how you cherry pick a couple of good weeks over a ten year span- well done! I actually hope he has a monster series all the way because it's good for poker.

When I saw him call that guys shove on the all-heart board because he had the naked Ace of hearts I about puked at how awful that was, he beats nothing. I was fine with him betting at it, makes sense given he blocks the nuts, but when your opponent shoves, just fold dude.

I will give him credit that he put it in his "oopsie meter" later

DNegs unironically getting emotional when a fan said "You are the heart beat of the WSOP" because he felt that resonated so strongly with him. His narcissism and main character syndrome is through the charts.

Narcissism would be him telling the fan he was the heartbeat of the WSOP.
Your hate is confusing you.

Reacting like that instead of just saying thanks man and thinking "yea that was nice but a little over the top" is definitely narcissism. What he did was exactly tell the fans "Im the heart beat of the WSOP" but with an added "Other people agree with me" as well.

The thing is though, he is.

Daniel Negreanu, The Man, The Myth, The Leeegeeeeennnddd!

What a banger

Hes for sure a very important part of the pull WSOP has on the casual pub poker/home game crowd and people who played/watched poker 20 years ago but never took it seriously as more than a hobby. As someone else said, him doing well is very good for poker. I might be a hater on his personality but I still give him props for his transparency and I think people like him vlogging is very good for the WSOP. Like Ive said before the WSOP should do more to get influencers and content creators into poker. If MrBeast (or whoever is the biggest name these days) played some WSOP events that would be enormous for WSOP and the poker. Daniel is the best thing we've got.

Theres a big step from that to having an emotional moment because you unironically feel like you are the main character of the entire WSOP.

I agree that he makes his living primarily through endorsements and doesn't even play that much.

However, he has the record for the most PGTs. He consistently over the years makes deep runs in the $10K whatever game events. He isn't some losing player.

ROFL

Blom third in the BigO $10K championship with 26 players left.

today's vlog is going to send lawnmowers sailing into that fake Eiffel Tower they got.

we appreciate you, brah

If there’s one thing I like about DN in these WSOP vlogs (and I don’t like much about him) it’s how he exposes how ***** boring these high roller guys are to play with. You’d have thought these people would understand by now that if they were a bit cooler and had a few more social skills at the table these events might actually attract a couple more rich whales.

They should be jumping at the chance to engage with DN when he’s filming and to make out these games are actually fun

People who are in perpetual make up and/or playing for single digits of themselves dont have fun.

I'm not going to keep repeating his spectacular recent achievements. Not sure what he needs to do to quiet down the haters.

Well, he is down 200k not counting expenses this summer so far.

Millions down in poker last 10 years.

I guess you could call that spectacular.

He's actually UP 600 K in the last 10 years, he is only down a million if you count the 1.5 he dusted off to Phil and Doug, which id argue shouldn't count

Hence why I said ‘make out’ they’re fun.

Good post Mr. Analton

Also it’s quite convenient to stop just short of and not include that 9M cash in One Drop. Especially since it’s quite possible that large injection set him on path where he can afford to play the high rollers. So just be fair and include everything.

In fairness to the haters, in the terms of "is Daniel a winning player today", you do have to draw a line somewhere. I was universally trashed in the Vegas Vlogs forum for calling The Trooper a winning 1/3 player since he is up 20K since he moved to Vegas 10 years ago, but since he hasn't turned a profit in the last 5 years, he can't be considered a winning player anymore.

So yea 11 years seems like a stretch to count, and with him down fairly big in the last few years , I think the best we can call him is a breakeven player in todays high stakes environment which is still impressive since most of his opponents today are half human half robots.

Well, you could draw the line exactly at the 12 years that he reported. That would be the most accurate and fair, but it’s obvious why it’s not done. No one included it last year when it was within ten years but now they include the 10th year because he lost I presume. And I’ll mention again that without that 9M cash he very well might be sitting out the high roller nlhe and has a great record in other stuff.

He’s not a break even player. Even in arbitrary 10 year period he’s made 600K in about 3 years of total work. Wouldn’t surprise me if we have rakeback pros in this thread who tell people “Imma a big winna” but call DNegs a loser but he’s one of top mixed tournament players in world
