So after chilling in the room for a little while and drinking a beer I decided to go down and have some dinner. When you're at the Venetian you have to have Italian food at least once. I've been wanting to try this place for quite a while and I finally got around to it.

I will have to say it was excellent. I got the baked ziti which is thier " house specialty" according to the menu. It did not disappoint. This is a meal I will likely repeat on future trips. Very tasty and an excellent price point for a sit-down meal.

I headed over to the poker room for one more shot at cash. It ended up being one of my better cash sessions so far this trip I only lost $18. It's been a long frustrating day at the poker tables. Hopefully I can turn that all around tomorrow and make a run in the Warriors event.

Slept pretty good again last night as my body seems to be adjusting to Las Vegas time. I got on the WSOP app and signed up for the salute to Warriors tournament this morning. I still need to get over there though to have them check my credit card. Then I decided to grab some breakfast. I tried something different I usually go to the Grand Lux every time i am here and I haven't been there once yet.

I decided to go to the Canyon Ranch which is the restaurant attached to the spa. The reason I went there is because they have huevos rancheros on the menu. They were good but not great. I used to love the ones at Grand Lux but they took them off the menu.

Now I'm going to head down to the Horseshoe and finish getting registered for this tournament. Then I want to wander around the area for a while just to get a feel for it. Plus I need to get some steps in before I'm hopefuly sitting there all day and all night.

Good luck and run good in the Salute!

Made my way down to the Paris and got officially checked in. My seat assignment just popped up I'll be in the Paris black table 172. Hopefully I can run better today than I have previously on this trip.

50k lets go!

My view

First beak 61.2 k

Second break 67.9k

Could be better could be worse. I've already had more good starting hands and reasonable flops and I've had the entire trip up to this point. I've won a lot of small pots picked up a few blinds but never really got involved in anything big. The biggest hand I got involved in I lost about 15k. I kind of screwed it up too I was in the big blind with Jack 10 of diamonds. There were three players with a button raise to 1500. I called and the big blind called. I flopped and open-ended straight flush and checked button bet I called Big line called. I turned a flush and checked again hoping to re-raise. But button checked as well. The dreaded fourth Diamond hit the river. I I made a bed of 4,000 and he raised to 12. I kind of figured I was beat but I called anyway and I was beat.

Now just hoping for a little run good

3rd break 55.6k

I dont think i played a hand since last break. I would raise and scoop blinds or fold to a massive reraise. Registration ends at the end of this break. So I basically have a late reg syack.

I lasted 3 hands after the break when i busted. Very disappointing. There was a super Agro player at our table and he was coming over the top hard very often. He almost always got away with it too. One time he did it against AA but ended up sending him home as his 97 made a straight.

Agro guy was in the big blind and I was in late middle position. Blinds for 1K 2K 2K and it folded to me. I had AJ suited and decided to raise to 6,000. Agro called and we saw a flop of J64 rainbow. He checks and I bet 15k. He slides a stack of 5K chips into the middle like he always does. I just can't fold to this guy because I know most of the time he has absolutely nothing. Anybody else I'd think about them having a set or something reasonable. So I call and we flip over our cards and I see his six four for a flopped two pair. I did not improve and that was it for me not sure what I'm going to do tonight if I want to play cash or not I just want to chill out for a little while.

The poker hasn't been going very well so far this trip but I hope to still turn that around.

Can’t fold top pair top kicker there.

Definitely not with your sizing, but in any case, he has a ton of draws and maybe even worse jacks.

When the table maniac flops bottom two pair at the same time you hit top pair top kicker, I don't see any way you avoid losing a huge pot. Poker can be cruel.

Funny thing is i was chatting with Big Whale during break and i was telling him i had this super aggro at my table and that i was hoping i would catch a hand against him. Boy did i!

So I decided to play some cash for a little while. And believe it or not I actually won for a change. I was in for $300 and out for 399. Pretty weak as far as chip porn goes but I'll take what I can get the way this Trip's been going so far.

Nice.

Just got back from my morning walk. I got a little later start than usual so I only got about four and a half miles in. Now I plan on going down to the pool in about 10 minutes when it opens. Not sure how long I'll stay down there but plan on playing in a daily tournament today. There are a lot of options to choose from. Both the Orleans and the Golden Nugget have good looking tournaments but I don't really feel like ubering off strip today. Then there is the daily WSOP but those huge fields put that outside of my stamina level. It looks like these things go till 3/4 in the morning. And I would have to tap out long before that.

That leaves us with Resorts World which is probably what I'm going to play. It looks like it's just their normal daily 200. Which is what I'm used to anyway. I expect it will have a smaller and weaker field than any of the other options.

I'll be in the streets of the Orleans $400. Doesn't get much softer than me!

GL whatever you choose.

Just sat down at V cash. If i do orleans it will be tomorrow. Sticking with the strip today and will play resorts at noon.

Played Venetian cash for about an hour to kill some time. Turns out all I killed was $24. That's pretty hungry so I decided to go back to the Venetian food court and try something else there. I tried Howlin Rays chicken and it was legit.

I had three tenders and fries. They have a bunch of different heat levels so I tried three. I had one country which is no Spice 1 mild and one medium. Mild was the best for me. But then again I'm a pussy when it comes to spicy food. The medium was good but just a little too hot and the country or no spice was okay but just a little too bland for me the mile was perfect. The fries were also very tasty too.

That was the first meal I've had since those eggs yesterday morning. I did have a cookie during one of the breaks at the salute though. So I was pretty hungry. Now I'm going to make one way down to Resorts World and play in the 12:05 200 tournament

Great minds think alike! Already in the tournament myself.

Ill look for you again on break.

25k lets go!

First break 32.5k

GL in the RW tournament, gents. I'm a big fan of that room!

For my money, their daily and nightly are the best low budget tournaments on the strip during summer.
