English Premier League 2024-25
2024-2025 EPL Preview
Man City have set another record with 115 charges of financial shenanigans and also managed to win
Take that, Pep!
I believe Grealish is meant to be going to Italy. Can’t imagine he’ll do too well with the language but they have pizzas there (although he looks like a Hawaiian type and I believe they frown upon that kind of thing in Rome).
Considering he couldn’t recognize his hometown on a map of England, this might be good content-wise.
Maybe he’s partied himself out, but also perhaps as soon as he gets away from Pep he’ll go back to looking like his old self again. He used to be pretty awesome to watch.
Gyokeres is practically begging to join us, we are working on the Sesko deal meanwhile... I swear if we are going to **** this up and fall between 2 chairs I'm going to be livid

It could be a golden banter era, like when Serie A was the big thing that was shown on British TV and we sent all of our best little Englanders over there, who all inevitably failed to settle.
If Grealish to Italy happens I'm buying Perroni and Limoncello stock

I almost feel like youβll land both. You guys have been working on Sesko for a while and it feels like heβs the priority.
Other than striker, who/what else are you expected to be in for?

Apart from a winger that can actually provide some competition on the LW/RW I'm not sure.
Nico Williams was mentioned, but I'm sure he would prefer Barca. Rodrygo is another that was mentioned. Think we would need that kind of calibre as we need to have people that can hit the ground running.
If we get both of Sesko and Gyokeres I think that is it for the attacking options.
We still need to shift a lot of our players Zinchenko / Trossard / Jesus / maybe Tomiyasu (?) will most likely leave. If we get Partey to stay that should be midfield set with Zubi/Rice/Partey/Odegaard.
Not sure if defense needs anything with Gabi/Saliba/Kiwior - think we are working on new deals with Gabi having just signed. We are absolutely stacked on the fullback front.
Apparently we are signing Kepa as a backup keeper for 5millie which I quite like as an inexpensive backup keeper.
So all-in-all I think striker+winger and that is us unless a really appetizing deal becomes a reality.
I would be quite happy with getting a striker and bit of creativity up front would have us set up for this season.
I thought I was done watching Chelsea playing conference league level opposition but just found out we're enrolled in this club world cup thing.
Group with Tunis, LAFC & Flamengo. In other news Bayern beat some amateurs 10-0 yesterday
Long live Infantino, I think Cucurella is going to play his 75th game of the season or sth
Lol club world cup. That said, if guys are knackered you have the option of not playing them and winning merely 8-0 as a result
Clubs will need NFL rosters to be able to compete in these
Never mind the bollocks, here's Ruben Selles
He sounds more exotic than Wilder - also from the last few interviews the latter seemed to have been losing the plot a bit.
Also what a bullet dodge Mydryk has become - he seems to be getting banned for 4 years due to taking some performance enhancing drugs (there is a joke here somewhere).
Also Partey seemingly ready to leave Arsenal so we will be in for a midfielder as well.
It has been brought to my attention that the Club World Cup ends approximately one month before the PL season starts. This is complete ****ing madness.
I think it is just wonderful and at the same time utterly disappointed Pool weren't invited.
What was the basis for being invited?
It's going to be awful for some of the Chelsea players. They'll get 10 days max of Roger Mooreing in 50 degree heat in Dubai, on the next flight to Heathrow, bounced into an Uber bound for Cobham and doing shuttle runs in English summer humidity when they are absolutely desperate for a rest.
Now I read that back it does sound wonderful. Why didn't the geniuses at FIFA think of this before?
Also, lol at this Mudryk ban thing. Nobody will even notice he's banned. Apart from his wife, when her Gucci budget gets nixed because he isn't receiving a salary any more.

What is it actually going to take? A well known player to collapse and die on the pitch? It seems like an easy solution to just have a minutes cap on every player for the year. They can still have their stupid meaningless moneymaking tournaments and friendlies and summer tours without further endangering the health of the players.

An unpopular opinion of mine is that Mudryk would have cooked if he would have joined us. Just a completely different narrative and career trajectory. Itβs hard to imagine any scenario where heβs successful given the circumstances of his Chelsea transfer.
And yes please get #5 the **** out of here. Besides all of the horrible rape accusations, he was injured and stiff and inconsistent and overall pretty underwhelming. Letβs hopefully never think about or mention him ever again.

.
There's nothing that'll make them reconsider. There will never be a meeting at FIFA/UEFA where the guys sit around the table and end up concluding "yeah let's do the thing where we get less $$$$"
It's not like they are going to scale back anything that makes them money. Sure a few more players will be injured and whatnot, but that is not their problem per se.
And while we are saying that the quality of the product will not be the same it is absolutely dogshit season so there will be enough people tuning in between June/July. Although the stadiums are half-empty so maybe they should have held the first CWC at a place where football is actually popular.
In the meantime Plop added Kerkez to their roster. They might defend their title with Wirtz / Kerkez + a striker added to their ranks, given that their CBs wont just be injured the whole time / van Dijk falls off an age cliff.
Related news that we have agreed personal terms with Sesko and still no deal as Leipzig wants too much. We should just pay the 90million tbh and move on to Gyokeres.

Halcyon days.
They are paying the price for those devil tricks now
We are also paying the price for players like Norgaard from Brendford and Kepa from Chelsea. Now that we have signed the bench players it would be great if we added actually hard hitting quality to the team.
Lewis-Skelly signing a new deal is wonderful news I'll give them that.
Harvey Elliot’s value goes up again.
What a tournament he’s had.
