Hey,
So I'm compiling a list of places I need to go to, never been before but I have so far been told that we should hit

As a bourbon drinker, that just sounds criminal.

as a Bourbon drinker any mix, including ice is criminal... but if you're going to mix, and old fashion is the way to go.

Carversteak has one of the better β€œrestaurant week” deals in Vegas. $80 for an appetizer, filet of ribeye au poivre with mashed potato, and creme brulee. Those would normally be around $150, the steak by itself is normally $82.

Black walnut manhattan - 8/10, they were not shy on the liquor pour here. Solid but strong.

Tuna tartare - 8.5/10
Steak tartare - 8.5/10
Filet of ribeye - 9/10
Creme brulee - 9/10

Was able to use InKind $50 off code plus Costco discounted InKind. Would’ve been around $375 plus tip normally for two, total bill was $226 and net cost was about $125 plus tip after discounts. Can’t beat that.

That sounds like a great deal. I will say with Restaurant Week discounts overall, sometimes the restaurant will make the entree a smaller version (6oz instead of a normal 10oz), or something similar to other courses. So sometimes it's not exactly comparable.

That said, it still sounds like a great meal.

Most of the restaurant week deals are a small discount at best. The steak was 8oz which was plenty with all of the other stuff included. Highly recommend, especially if you combo it with additional InKind discount.

Biz dinner at SW last night. The crab tater tots were very good, but i couldnt get over the seasoning on the steak. They overcooked my medium rare to medium but the steak tasted just incredible. Very pleasantly surprised. Waiter was super weird - was like he was trying to play a douchebag snooty waiter in the movies, but it came off as this weird mix of inauthentically douchey like he was probably fine IRL just trying too hard - but anyway i guess it takes all types.

it would be fun trying out different characters each night while waiting tables
much different than a one time barista interaction

It’s a shame because restaurant weeks in other cities are really about opening new people to new restaurants and you can find some great deals and food that is really catered to trying to find new regulars. I was looking through some of these β€œdeals”, most you are saving almost nothing.

Sw is the most inconsistent steakhouse in Vegas. There are always parts that let you down. John Curtas didn’t put sw in his top 11

16oz longhorn NY strip & lobster tail at Golden Steer. Everything was excellent.

Bavettes 9.5
STK. 7.0
Smith and Wollenski 8.0
Bugsy and Meyers 8.5
Steakhouse at CC 8.0
Jean George 6.0
Gordon Ramsey Steak. 9.0
Binions. 8.0
SW steak 8.5
I try to eat mostly at Venetian or MGM properties as my hosts will comp them.

Blue Ribbon. Braised leeks, prime rib. Mash and spinach. The rib was one of the best I've had in Vegas.

That prime Rib looks like perfection. I can only imagine how great it tasted. Thanks for sharing.

Had LPM sunday brunch today again. I believe they added the cheesecake to the menu, which with their candied French toast, makes for a killer dessert duo. Still a super great meal

I have a hard time not ordering fried chicken at blue ribbon but that prime rib looks amazing

Herbs and Rye -- 2 things

1) Their happy hour half off items are still discounted, but it is not 50% anymore. For instance, regular price ribeye is listed $78, and the discounted price is shown at $46, instead of $39. All noted items are like that. Still a great value.

2) They offer 4 dessert items, or you can order a sampler and get all 4, which was surpringly priced at $25. Shareable between 3 of us and we ate it all.

Great dinner as usual.

the thing about prime rib from a retail establishment is, I can never tell when they are just injecting dye to make it red... at least at home I know.

Kabuto $120 tasting menu with $62 sake pairings (total 5 sakes)

Quite possibly the best meal I've had. Each bite ranged from great to "oh man that's ridiculous". Upon suggestion here, we went with the lower tasting menu and added otoro (premium fatty tuna) and king salmon belly. Great suggestion.

Sake pairings added another dimension to the experience that is a little lost on me and I probably could do without, but my friend very much enjoyed them and said he will be looking for these sakes

We were full by the end and happy with everything, and will definitely return.

oh, consider yourself lucky... you got off 'lite' for 440$.
from a food stand point, it really is one of the best places to have ever eaten at, period.

I see you didnt have any Uni... that's to bad, it is to die for.

I am glad you enjoyed it.

I'm glad everybody else has had a good experience there. I'm debating giving it another shot, but I'm just not sure if it's worth it. I know the restaurant inspector was there, but they could have made up for that so easily. I enjoyed Hiroyoshi so much more.

We did have uni. Pictured in the one with 2 small bowls, salmon roe on the left and uni on the right. It was heavenly

One of my favorites in Vegas. Glad you enjoyed it!

Never ate there, but your pics made it a must try for sure.
