Can legal speak to justify some of the decisions while he was at arsenal (which I don't like or agree with particularly) but you absolutely did not need to negotiate potential new contract for him (assuming that wasn't all just agent pr). Feels gross regardless, but the optics become much worse by talking about a new contract.

We don’t know for certain yet that he’s guilty. If they knew that he club would have dismissed him.
I certainly hope he’s not but if he is they should lock the **** up for a long time. Remember Mendy who had a similar number and type of charges against him was found not guilty though given the warped nature of the criminal justice system in this country thats a function of how wealthy he is as much as anything else imo.

I think it's a hard one to call. He was pretty crap last season, but then so was everyone bar Bowen and Wan-Bissaka. We are also fairly clearly short of funds, have a number of gaping holes in the squad and he plays in the same position as our best player. To me, it's an easy sell, obviously I'd like more money but then he hasn't been consistent enough to warrant a significantly larger fee.
He's well suited to a counter attacking style, so probably suits Frank. However he does tend to play with his head down, which can be very frustrating. If some of that can be coached out of him he may do well. There is also nothing quite like competition for places to focus the mind, which is something Tottenham will do better at providing.
There is a lot of wailing on our forums, but we've never signed a player for a fee that high. If we did, I'd probably want someone better.

As much as I don’t want him and think 50m is insane, it’s still a A transfer window if Gyokeres and Eze get over the line.
Yeah, that money for Madueke sounds like a lot. And yet even if he turns up to training on day one and has had a foot amputated, he'll probably do better this season than Raheem Sterling, who still has two glorious years left on his Chelsea contract.
