Boy IDK about that A6o
what a punt to go out in 10th. its amazing someone can even make it that far with the lack of knowledge
He did it once before earlier in a ridiculous spot to do it think it's his bluff hand to do it with but he had absolutely zero thought process of I don't have chips we're ten handed so I'm probably getting called part.
i mean he had zero fold equity that's why it was so bad. not the hand selection its like ajs+ spot with zero bluffs (because no fold equity)
I think he knew he had zero fold equity and put it in anyway making it even more bizarre.
For example going allin blind next hand as an open has more ev then going allin with a6o here.
It seems to me he just does not know short stack ranges he is a rec and probably only plays cash games. poker is live and well

This. It's amazing that people make it that far and have no patience or knowledge about short stack play. He was down to 8 bb, but it's not critical and he had the entire round to find a better spot to be first in. The fold-equity versus UTG raise and MP call there on a 10-handed FT has to be 0% percent.
That said, we also saw Mizrachi punting hard when he was sub-20 bb, so it's clear that he has not studied these spots very well at all either.
Wow, yuck, even if he thought it was going to get one of his opponents to fold, that all-in was a pipe dream to be ahead.

i don't think he did. I honestly think he just saw a lot of espn highlights of short stacks going allin with a6o without taking into account stack sizes and action.
"oh i have 8bb I have an ace. I guess I have to go allin"
UTG raise, MP call, A6o might be the worst hand in the deck to do that shortstacked with on the button with a huge money bubble. And he still had three full orbits left. His EV is 8.5% inc ties here, against two very likely hands. Ray Guy says hi.
The ev lost on that punt is quite wild. probably a million dollars. People really need to learn how to play sub 12bb lmao. he folded k7 on the button last orbit at 10bb. I was cheering for this guy the rest of his folds were good and he would have lost if he opened the k7 button hand (probably)
Great final table lineup. Really pumped about this one
Schulman trying his best to be nice to the A6o guy lmaooo

Yeah, you need a premium hand with 8xBB over a raise and call, particularly from ep. A6o would be a fine open shove hand, but almost the nut worst hand to shove into the raise and call. Need to open shove whatever from mid to late position or wake up with a hand. He should fold AJo in that situation. Don't want a 3-way allin.
Great FT with M. Mizrachi in 2nd and a woman in 5th. May wind up the deepest run by a woman. M. Mizrachi should be shoe in for Poker HOF next year with this and his 4th PPC win.
Padron was in his eighth straight 12 hour day. Like all of them he was exhausted, and he was on a very short stack, playing under incredible pressure. He played excellent poker for long stretches. Letβs try to avoid sweeping indictments of himββhard to believe this guy could make it this far!ββor any of these people as poker players just because of wobbly play this deep in the most grueling and high pressure tournament there is. Two weeks from now, rested and in a $250 daily at his home casino, would he play that spot differently? Probably. Did the Grinder himself show similar lapses along the way, such as open shoving AJ utg for 30 bigs or whatever? Yes he did. It can get to anyone. It doesnβt mean they are bad poker players.
What a final table this is shaping up to be with the grinder and a female. Surely this will bring the next big poker boom reminiscent of 2003! In all seriousness, where are we ranking the grinder amongst tournament players after this main event run? Is he #1 all time? Does he need to win to become #1 ? Is there no way he can pass hellmuth and his 17 bracelets? Grinder has 2 WSO
He's quite the anomaly. Has a number huge scores (most of them coming 10-20 years ago), but really not a ton of overall sustained success. He also had some signinficant financial issues in the past, so I'm guessing he was being heavily backed and in a lot of makeup at one point. Definitely not someone you want at your table as an amateur, but I would imagine to higher level pro's he's a spot in the games the way he gambles.
That being said, I'm a fan, and the coverage of him in 2010 was one of the main things that got me into poker. Hope he takes it down and secures his financial future
Pardon also came into the day with just $14,500 in lifetime earnings.
If mizrachi wins it's a very strong argument for tournament GOAT

LOL. LOL. LOL.
I canβt tell if this entire post is some kind of bitβ¦? One of the Grinderβs buddies busting his balls?

I just saw some clips so no idea how well this guy was playing but obviously with almost no cashes before this at best he's a tournament amateur. It's easy for someone to sit at home and watch knowing the a6o is bad but you're 100 percent right. It's totally different to be exhausted in a high pressure spot you'll likely never been in again and make a mistake.

Serock also made a bad jam last year with AJ off. People just kinda shrug shove and sometimes they get there.
Margets or Mizrachi winning would be pretty cool
Mizrachi is gonna be a lot of fun to watch. A 9 million gap in payout between 1st and 9th and this dude gives less of a **** about ICM than anyone ever. Just knows one speed
Actually like the looks of this final table. Couple hobbyist people even dunaway even if he won the monster stack few top pros and some "grinders". Maybe margets is kind of hobbyist as well?
If you've grinded online MTTs, or even more SNGs or MTT SNGs, you should no the basics of short stack play. You play those situations over and over and you need to be good at them to win. Not sure Mizrachi played much online. Padron is an amateur, or maybe a cash player.
A win by Mizrachi, Margot or one of the amateurs left would make a big story.
if Mizrachi wins the main will he be considers GOAT tourny player of all time?
