if Mizrachi wins the main will he be considers GOAT tourny player of all time?

There is competition: Brunson, Ungar, Ivey, Hellmuth.

Technically redundant greatest of all time tourny player of all time.

Maybe in the discussion for live pros but Lol no not even close if you ask people who are actually skilled at mtts it has to be long term online end bosses they will say someone like Simon Mattsson or Niklas Astedt. These guys play more mtt hands per year than Mizrachi played in a decade and real poker players know sample size is everything.

gg Leo, wow, the final table 30 years without a woman, reminds me of me.

If Miz pulls it off he’s definitely the best WSOP player of all time

MTT player? Definitely not

A6 jam wasn't good but its a high pressure spot and guy was playing a long time so won't crap on the guy more. I think Padron never got over folding JJ when they were at 2 tables.

Correira raised early pos with AQ off a shortish stack, Wasnock jammed for 26 mill with AK and padron tank folded JJ, Correira called and busted but Padron's JJ would have held.

It's interesting how some of these weird play's change outcomes drastically. If Padron calls wasnock's shove with JJ correira folds and Wasnock is gone in like 12th.

If boijovic on the last hand 3 bets, Padron folds his A6 and we play on and Padron may survive to the final 9.

I'm real curious on people's thoughts on the flat by boijovic there with AK. Is it that he just wants to make sure he makes the "official" final table? I understand there is ICM considerations, and he doesn't want to bust to Wasnock but I think he still should be 3 betting there.

As I posted before one day after he retires Mike Mizrachi is going to be walking down the street and in whispers people will say 'There goes the best that ever lived".

Can Grinder get POTY still?

If mizrachi wins it's a very strong argument for tournament GOAT

Terrible 19bb jam w AJo utg +1 ... then wins with backdoor fd twice and did that as well twice the other day, insane luck coming back from shortstack.

Anyone know if we get some kind of night shift at the FT now that Lon and Norm aren’t doing it?

Just makes such a huge difference their commentary, so really wouldn’t get it if they don’t get no time

Can Grinder get POTY still?

I heads someone say he would be second. He’d have to play something else which would be an online tournament today. Or do some live multitabling. But he won’t be doing that.

it was a -1 million dollar ev played hand. it was probably the worst played preflop hand of all time ev wise. his jam had like 10% equity lol. his flat is standard its a utg open from the tightest player at the table 10 handed. He should have reshoved tho once patron put his money in because less icm pressure. but its like a 10k mistake vs a 1 million dollar ev mistake. see the difference ?

Actually like the looks of this final table. Couple hobbyist people even dunaway even if he won the monster stack few top pros and some "grinders". Maybe margets is kind of hobbyist as well?

LOL. Margets is a Winimax sponsored pro with a bracelet and $2 million in career winnings. She’s a beast.

Yes, I agree 100% on the how bad the shove is, my post in regards to his shove was more along the lines of, yes we all know it was really bad, this guy will get dunked on for quite some time about it and regret it for a long time, there was no need for me to say anything else on it.

My question/interest was just on the play of AK in that spot. Thank you for your thoughts/explanation on that.

I am going to contact him and ask if he would be interested in my short stack MTT coaching services today.

Also interesting note, Hendrix is 32, Minghini and Bojovic are both 37, everyone else is 40-50. Probably the oldest average age at the final table in quite some time.

Can Grinder get POTY still?

Grinder currently has 2,102 points vs Deeb's 4,194. According to the WSOP's points calculator, 1st place for a ME with 10,112 entrants is 1,314 points, which would bring Grinder's total to 3,326 if he blinks the ME.

How many people on the earth are even capable of final tabling the main and winning the PPC? Much less, doing it twice? GOAT

what's the format again? off today, play down to 6 Tuesday, play down to 3 Wednesday, and finale on Thursday?

The boomers are back baby

They'll play down to 3 tomorrow then finish on Wednesday.

Three days to go from 9 to 1 would be a bit insane

Anyone still in has run hotter than the sun. Nature of the beast.

Ak call call seems fine to me. You get to always realize your equity in that spot with minimal risk. And the guy who shoved should actually have a good hand like aq+ 99+ probably.

Padron was drawing dead to win once he folded the JJ pre-flop vs. AK (and potentially AQ). Somewhat understandable spot, but I think most pros find the call there against that stack size (think the shove was for <20BB?). After that he was noticeably tanking and eyeing the pay jumps. You don't win the Main by going for pay jumps. Whatever you want to say about the technical skills of Jamie Gold, Jerry Yang, and Chris Moneymaker, you cannot say they played for pay jumps. They took risks and played to win. This tournament rewards people who are willing to go for it.

Really cool FT lineup. Almost unbelievably heavy on "names". Usually you'd be happy with one story like Margets, Grinder, Hallaert, Hendrix, or even Dunaway. Now there are a number of fun narratives to follow.

Yeah this main has been a blast to watch, can't wait to watch the FT. I'm rooting for Margets, then Grinder. Margets will have a tough seat in the FT with Hallaert, Dunaway, Wasnock (chip lead), and Mizrachi to her left, all with lots of chips.

Grinder has made some great and crazy plays. Did anyone see this 4bet rip QJo vs Gregg, CO vs BTN (20BB eff)? If he didn't have a perfect read, it seems... insane.
