These are fire.

I didn't like the wings, but I didn't realize they extend. Pretty cool!

by tarheels2222 m

He had blood clot issues in his lungs while in college. The issue was discovered prior to the start of his sophomore season, they thought the issue had been resolved, but it reappeared halfway through the season. He missed the rest of the season, but then played his junior and senior seasons. I always think the NFL docks medicals too much. I get it for the first round, and

Trent Baalke was notorious for this in SF, he took a lot of talented medical guys later in the draft and none of them panned out. Being able to filter out what medicals matter a lot more than others would give you an edge in the draft but it turns out there's a good reason they move down or get pulled off boards.

Yeah, I’m not necessarily saying medicals aren’t relevant. Just that I feel like the NFL docks guys too much given total range of outcomes. Baalke isn’t exactly known as being sharp, either. He could have just had bad evaluations or the guys had other variables causing them to fail too.

Once you reach day 3, a high percentage of those guys aren’t going to work out for one reason or another. So if a guy is graded as day 1 or 2 based on talent and production but has medical concerns, just take the chance it works out. A lot of your healthy picks won’t work out too.

But I’m not an NFL exec or a medical professional, so who knows?

Chiefs re-up Karlaftis 4/93-62 and looking to extend Trent McDuffie next

What’s crystal clear is that….once you’ve decided that you want to extend your top players, the earliest you can do it in an offseason is the best time to do it.

quoting myself here because..while thinking about the Cowboys not doing this last offseason and about to buy a giant price for Micah Parsons as a result, I realised that they are very likely in the process of also not doing this with Tyler Smith. Let's see how much extra they end up paying him than the Chiefs paid Trey Smith

relatedly, wondering if the Lions extend Hutchinson before the season starts. Probably the answer is 'yes', given they have got ahead of all their big extensions at the earliest possible opportunity in recent years, but I'm wondering if his injury complicates it a little and they'd want to wait til he's fully back?

my guess would be they do extend....maybe they use the injury as an opportunity to keep the price down a little?

My guess is a somewhat less overall but more guaranteed. Lions are very smart. Much like their superfan Tuma.

BAL > PHI is pretty funny.

Also looking to get some more MIA bets in if anyone is interested.

They've got them ranked 24th. Ahead of them are

16. LAC
17. ARI
18. DAL
19. PIT
20. SEA
21. NE
22. JAX
23. LV

I'll take MIA regular season win total over any of those teams. $20 - $50. 1 bet per user.

very happy i locked in the LAR bet

feels like the freest of moniez

I’ll book Chargers for $50. Tie is a push I’m assuming?

I don't know the Philly roster inside and out but Ravens have a great one.

Ty Mathieu retires. Very nice career - a ring, 4 All Pros, All Decade team, bags and bags of $$

Not many 5ft 9 guys play 12 years in the NFL. Bill Polian would eat his words if he had one ounce of humility

Absolutely. Just not better than Phillies.
