British Politics
Been on holiday for a few weeks, surprised to find no general discussion of British politics so though I'd kick one off.
More generally this reflects a serious political reality these days that people regret every decision. Boris johnson as prime minister could not really have been more exactly what he was when people voted for him yet somehow they still regretted it. Starmer isn't far behind. It's a reflection far more of the state of politics than any decision.
re brexit the question we can't answer for sure but would be far more revealing is do people regret leaving given we left more than they would have regretted staying if we had stayed. I doubt it because we regret everything because everything keeps getting worse. And it will keep doing so (with occasional blips in the right direction) unless we makes radical changes to correct a system that is fundamentally failing.
so you can't give a link then. lol
"Jeremy Corbyn's new party needs a name and it's trickier than you might think"
I'm guessing it won't be The People's Front of Judea
Doesn't matter what they call it, it will unwittingly end up as a trojan horse for Reform.
No that was 'changed' labour.
Trying to appease reform instead of trying to beat them is exactly what reform needed. it has legitimised their arguments and denied an alternative.
Of course 'changed' labour and everyone else who opposes the left will try to blame us but we have no other choice now. The damage is done. At least this gives some chance.
Apparantly there's over 600k 'signups' so far.
Can't assume all will sign up to be full members but decent chance it will be comfortably the largest party in terms of membership and might even beat all the rest combined.
jfc man, what's wrong with you you can't google something for yourself?
Happy?

Well next time you post a picture of a poll, include a link otherwise it's just some image you got from somewhere.
It's for you to provide the evidence if you post stuff like polls, not for the rest of us to try and figure out where you got it. You could be posting complete BS as far as we know, and the question and choices really looked like BS to me.
I still haven't seen anything that has that question and those potential answers btw.
UK is better out of the EU. Can chart its own course.

I clicked through the two links to get to the original poll, and the most popular option among the British public is a closer relationship with the EU without rejoining.

Come on, it’s not always convenient to post links if you’re on a phone or tablet and it’s always simple to paste an image here. A modicum of googling would have taken you to multiple sources of that poll.
56/28 is 2:1 which is a 66/33 split. Always happy to do maths for you Elrazor.
65 is more than 56. Always happy to do maths for you Jalfrezi.
Rejoin at 56%, with the highest 'strongly support' figure of all questions at 36%, is quite surprising and interesting. And the highest 'oppose' figures are against leaving it as it is and, highest 'oppose' of all, against further loosening ties.
"Tommy Robinson" arrested at Luton airport.

Well, just say that next time if pushed for a source/link.
I specifically googled the question and 'sunday times', found nothing. However, sunday times was behind paywall, so it might be that.

She's gone.
A **** like her should never have been in the Labour Party.
Early polls show the fledgling Your Party trouncing Labour.
Who's gone?
Lol that Party McPartyface is beating Labour.
the homeless minister.
At least 365 people have been arrested at a demonstration in London in support of proscribed group Palestine Action, police say.
Scores of people simultaneously unveiled handwritten signs with the same message "I oppose genocide. I support Palestine Action" at the protest, organised by Defend Our Juries at Westminster's Parliament Square.
The government proscribed the group in July under the Terrorism Act of 2000, making membership of or support for it a criminal offence, punishable by up to 14 years in prison.
With the protest still ongoing, the Metropolitan Police said anyone there who held a placard expressing support for the group "was either arrested or is in the process of being arrested".
I doubt yvette cooper will see out the year as a minister.
Doesn't deserve to. Mind you, none of the cabinet do.
Yes but in this case I also doubt she will survive.
