''Call?'' Is not a declaration of call. I really mean it, all supposedly grey areas of speech are actually not grey at all, if it can be understood it isnt a call even thought the word call is said its not a call. Dealers knows this, those I met anyways. Call. Is hella binding. Call? isnt. Sometimes dealers asks for confirmation, they say : "You call?" On a serious tone. Then if you say yes to that thats mega ultra binding.
That is however in Canada. I think its possible that a casino refuses the idea of binding and then it would actually not be binding but id consider that a lack of professionalism from the casino because you wanna be free to say check and it being a check, mostly for people who'd try to take back their chips after realizing they are against a worse hand. Has to be binding.
