^^ He's right you know. I don't think I want to be a part of a forum that allows a ****face like Luciom to post either. Peace.

looks like you didn't take your dose of vaccine against LDS

by Luciom m

My grandfather survived the camps as well (italian military in the balkan when we changed sides).

And he spent the like 6-9 months in the extermination side of the camps, because he refused to help them making weapons and ammunitions.

I don't think you are a Nazi, mainly because there are specific core elements of Nazi-style fascism that you do not embrace. I do think you are a right wing extremist and a great lover of authoritarianism (which is different than totalitarianism), and specifically a great lover of authoritarian violence.

For that reason, I suspect that your grandfather would be horrified by the views you express on the internet.

If you want a forum that bans non-libs UP is just the place for you. Good luck there with those asshats.

Regardless of whether Luciom is banned or not, I would be in favor of an automatic one week ban for anyone who uses the term Luciom Derangement Syndrome or LDS. It's just too ****ing irritating.

No need to delete, Tuma. I wasn't offended, but maybe I missed the point?

I am a libertarian (classic liberal) which would put me on the extreme right for some stuff, and extreme left for some other stuff, in the current era. You don't see any regular right wing extremist pro complete drug legalization and the abolition of IP for example. Or in favor of open borders at no welfare and no citizenship automatic path.

I do love the idea to use the state for it's fundamental purpose which is to protect the body and property of citizens, and to do so with as much force as necessary to permanently guarantee the result, with no regards to the victims of that force, foreign or domestic, yes. Backl in the day almost everyone would have agreed with me, today, it's less common.

I don't think my grandfather would be horrified at the idea of me being in favor of the state using violence against it's enemies, he volunteered in artillery in a war of aggression.

How would you call someone who stalked 10 posts of mine with a one line deranged insult in 5 minutes?

by StoppedRainingMen m

So let me make sure I have this straight based on my posts that have been deleted:High volume posts by a literal god damned nazi: absolutely. Content driverLow content trolling of a literal god damned nazi: now you’ve gone too far antagonizing our content driverThat sound accurate?I mean that’s fine if it is, I’ll excuse myself from this brain drain of a subfo

If you aggressively break the rules and post bigoted trash against Muslims, the mods will let you do whatever you want here. Bob really should have added in some unvarnished Nazi **** if he didn't want to catch a ban.

Luciom seems to identify with Hobbes. See the “Leviathan “.

On some justifications for the existence of the state yes of course. Not on the overall direction that he would have liked the state to imprint on society though

I probably wouldn't appropriate an idiotic acronym used by Trump supporters.

Order in society being a high priority for the state. That’s where I was making the link.

I thought the more general "the state in primis exists to manage the **** homini lupus basic nature of all human beings"

Why does this:

by Luciom m

he volunteered in artillery in a war of aggression.

imply this:

I don't think my grandfather would be horrified at the idea of me being in favor of the state using violence against it's enemies,

by Rococo m

Why does this:

imply this:

because if you dislike the use of extreme violence against third parties disregarding their fate, to gain something for your society, you don't volunteer in a war of aggression.

After you accept that there can be instances where going out to kill masses of other people is good proper moral and reasonable (whjich you fully, completly do if you volunteer in a war of aggression), to gain something (not only in self defense), then it's about determinging when exactly but you cannot be horrified if someone doesn't completly agree with you on the details.

Tinkerty-tonk, as Bertie Wooster used to say.

I'm up for that as long as there is also a one week ban for anyone calling Luciom a nazi.

by Luciom m

That's bullshit. Lots of people against wars volunteered to fight the Nazis because they were even more against dying or living under the Nazis.

Plus LDS is already taken (i.e. Latter-Day Saints).

The idea is that you make perfectly informative posts, and my posting of wavering nonsense right below seemed slightly more disrespectful than I ever want to be to you specifically.

If you even consider that sort of thing, you already are in the top 5% of posters.

? i said war of aggression. Germany declared war to many countries (or in american case, it's ally did), after that you are *defending*.

My grandfather volunteered in 1940 for Italy. That was on the german axis side. A war of aggression.

Then he refused to desert when Italy changed sides, so he stayed with Italy, so against the nazis (after sept 1943), that's when the nazi put him in a camp.

by Luciom m

Oh you do surprise me.

by jalfrezi m

Oh you do surprise me.

The italian militaries weren't nazi or nazi adjacent. It was the militaries that eventually managed to oust Mussolini. They helped allies take back southern and central italy. They were just pro italy.

Which you know, was normal at the time.
