Saying something is hard to pin down is a nothing statement. Almost everything that is scientific is hard to pin down.

Since I've been here, trashing religion(s) has always been allowed. For example, mocking Christianity was one of d2_e4's favorite hobbies.
Posting 'bigoted trash' about Saudi's or Iranian's or what-have-you (i.e. nationalities) certainly shouldn't be allowed imo.
Islam, Christianity and Scientology are fair game just like Republicans and Democrats and Libertarians are fair game.
