very few people shift from link to screenshot, I often asked about it to multiple people.
Usually its primary use is to ofuscate the source I think, and I believe out of shame mainly. (or to avoid criticism of the source).

its actually faster on my machine. just one click and then ctrl+v. and it gets the point across bc people arent going to click a link.

similarly, when Dun says something like "there are stories that Hamas is executing people in the streets", do you think he is tying to obfuscate? I mean, a screenshot is a lot better citation imo.

There’s a very simple response here based on common sense. Just look at the world around us. There are people who are Muslim, Jewish and Christian, who are on the far left, the far right and many of them perhaps in between. And all of them would say to you they are following The very religion that their ancestors started thousands of years ago. You’re simply choosing to look at the worst examples.

Of course they were a problem. I have spoken with quite a few Iranians. Most of them said they want a different government or they would be fine with going back to the era of the shah.

Iran still is enforcing a mandatory wearing of the hijab for women. Now in some streets on Iran women are not following the law , but that’s a risk The women are taking. In Saudi Arabia there is no longer a mandatory law for ladies to cover their law.

Regardless of what people think about the current Iranian government, they have failed to become a world superpower compared to the Persian empire from many centuries ago.

I’m no expert on Irans history , but I feel it is safe to say that a lot of this goes back to World War II era when Iran was a neutral country. And the Americans, Soviets and British put a ton of pressure on Iran and its then leader Reza Shah accusing Iran of being pro German perhaps without merit…. Eventually, the Soviet Union and British empire invaded Iran during World War II And effectively took the country over and set up the Persian corridor…. a critical supply route the allies utilized during the war. The allies installed the son of Reza Shah as the new leader…. Point is in the early -middle 20th century Iran was trying to build itself up to become a world power. They were not able to do so because of World War II.

How is Israel a money sink? Do you have any sources to back this up? Do you have any rationale someone can follow to come to the same conclusion?

US tax dollars are being spent on foreign nations all over the world, most of it probably offering no benefits to American tax payers.

Start with the writings of Ibn Jubair a 12 century Muslim traveler who visited the Catholic kingdom of Jerusalem and wrote what he recorded….Jews and Muslims prospering. Also look at the 20th century historian Renee Grousett and his work “Epic of the Crusades”. Of course the Middle Ages wasn’t perfect, and the various Catholic kingdoms were not these glorious perfect empires. You are simply providing a one-sided angle though. And it doesn’t stand up to historical scrutiny. I’m not getting into this in this thread. Make another thread about it.
