That is some sad CBH. I found that Emerald Casino in Henderson does a nice CBH with massive quantities of hash. If its the weekend, plan on a 30+ minute wait for a table.

Thanks, for Hendertucky that CBH is fine dining indeed.

The Emerald Casino puts Sunset Station to shame, dining-wise. Does it still offer $1 craps ?

Perfect place for this discussion about New Jersey and Philly guys, please keep it going.

It was a discussion about Pork Roll, and besides, every thread on this forum is an opportunity to build community between Vegas regs, locals, and visitors. Off-topic posts are normal.

I dont know who pissed in your cheerios, but please don't piss in mine.

Yeah, .....I'm not going to take dining advice from a guy whose lexicon includes "pissing in Cheerios"

This burger looks A1 ++++

It’s phenomenal and only $21 with the locals discount and includes a full side of the fried potato dish. Prob best value in town for a high end place. I think it’s better than Bavette’s burger and also half the price.

Wow they use to have a craps table? Now it’s just penny slots and some really good VP though.

I found it quite evocative.

Stubborn Seed Wagyu burger $28 - I am now convinced it’s the best one in Vegas. Go get one, thank me later. 11/10

I gave it a shot. It was very good. Thank you.

The bartender said they have a happy hour when the burger is cheaper.

Best in Vegas? I really couldn't pick one and burgers vary so much. This one is not about a buttery medium rare patty, but rather the cheese, meat and onions merging into a molten deliciousness.

The potatoes were nice for something different and I loved the seasoning.

I wish they’d post the happy hour menu online. Might help drive some business! The crisp edges on their burger are perfection, better than other smashburgers in town (still plenty of great ones around).

Edit - found it, maybe they added it generous. $19 for the burger at happy hour, $16 cocktails (normally $20-26). Not bad.

wonder if you should aim for the sides of the bowl or try to see how many holes you can hit.

I recall some urinals, in the Netherlands, where they added a small, painted fly to the bowl, just off-center, to give you something to aim at.

From what I can tell, it's 4:00 - 6:00. Is that what you found? (LOL -- did you want to keep it secret?)

Everyday or just M-F?

Every day, but might be summer (scroll down): https://www.stubbornseed.com/menus/happy...

I looked a week or so ago and the HH menu wasn’t posted online. Somehow the β€œrecently” got autocorrected to β€œgenerous” on my post.

A post on the RW FB page says it’s every day. Found this too:

I must have been editing my post while you were posting! I somehow found the menu in a round about way.

Visiting the Midwest right now and had some Culver's recently, their cod sandwich absolutely rocks.. anywhere in Vegas to get something similar ?

I know it’s not Cod, but Bug Dog’s Draft House has fried walleye and I believe a fried walleye sandwich when in season. It’s probably good. This post hopefully turns out to be more helpful than it looks.

Just met a friend to tryout the new Weiss' (Now Fisher's) Deli in Sunset in Henderson for breakfast.

Since we had the discussion of Corned beef hash, that's what I ordered and he ordered the matzoh brie.

The quantity and composition of the cbh was fine but it came out a bit on the cool side. The eggs and potatoes were right off the grill.

My friend's eggs also came out a bit cool and he felt the ratio of eggs to matzoh was a bit off. He would prefer a bit more egg in the mix.

Service was a bit slow to get the orders taken. Once they were, everything came out in good time.

Overall I'd give the experience a 3.5 out of 5. I'll give them another shot sometime for lunch. I did take home a loaf of fresh rye bread and some chopped liver from the attached deli.

That corned beef hash looks pretty solid. Speaking of which, My Garage Kitchen had some great corned beef hash.

Tried Aubergine Kitchen recently, looks to be a chain out of UT, they have a Donny Osmond bowl and a seductive Donny advertisement for it on one of their menu screens. It’s a healthy food place, like smoothies, salads, and bowls. But it was surprisingly good and I will be back.

This is the Rio Bowl w extra chicken.

aws man, hell yeah

would trade a pound of fuzzy purple socks to smash that bowl more than multiple meals a week if the price was right
each component appears to be artfully prepared and presented
but bob might be barking up the wrong tree if the recipe it includes an untaxed church tithe

crossing over to a slightly adjacent third derail

had lunch deemed fajita themed after a golf event last thursday
in a surprising twist to neverbody but caters tournies sometimes finish late
steam trays of black beans were converted to briqueta negro desecada right before our eyes
and mere pressure of the adobo sauce spatulas causes flour tortillas to snap in half

I found this thread by searching for discussion on Cheerios.

Why did they change the name? If I bought a place that’s doing well, is already established I’d keep the name.

I love me some crispy hash but that looks burnt. Also I’m weird but I like my hash with poached or fried eggs not scrambled.

Maybe it isnt "casual", but fine dining at casual value?????

We did a Lip Smacking Food Tour for $199/person. They hit 3 different restaurants and we got full meals and apps at each place, we were all stuffed.

Started at Aria and Javiers. Crab enchiladas, chicken enchiladas, rice, beans and 4 salsas to start. Each stop they gave some history on the restaurant and chef as well, so if that is your thing, added bonus. Food is on the table within 5 min of your arrival. No menus to choose from, but you get one of their "signature" meals.

Next stop was Jaleo in Cosmo, Jose Andres restaurant. Here apps were this amazing endive/almond/cheese things, chicken croquette, manchetto (sp?) flatbread, some olive spoon thing and the entree was a large portion of authentic paella. Now my gal wants me to replicate some of these for our next party, lucky me....

Final stop was Mastros in Chrystals. There we had steak with two sauces, creamed corn and 4 desserts (cheesecake, butter cake, flourless chocolate cake and one other i am blanking on).
