[ClubWPTGold] Unofficial Thread
time for a thread imo
For all ClubWPT does wrong (which arguably is a whole lot) they get some of the most important factors right. 1. Marketing to recs 2. Making recs feel like they are playing real live poker. No advanced huds, databases, etc. 3. Make recs feel like they have a chance in games and aren’t being hunted. (Loose high vpip 8 handed straddle games)
100% agree. Keep the recs comming and charge me double the industry standard in rake and I am fine with that. They really need to make sure #4 doesn't happen. They should aggressively look for and ban anyone using a VPN.
I mean consider yourself blessed if you can multi table on this site. I can't and certainly can't stomach 1 table.
Anyone a long term winner on this site? And i'm talking months. Not just for a week or two or a little run. I deposited $100 and ran it up to $9500 playing 40nl and 100nl, 400nl. Then inevitably lost it all. I had a cashout pending for 10 days that never went through and ended up losing all that too. It's like I just ran into a brick wall and couldn't win any more. And i mean that $9500 went to zero in no time. Cooler after cooler after cooler. 400nl I got AA back to back hands and I was up against AJ both times all in pre. First time they hit JJ. Next time they hit a flush. I mean this just kept happening over and over and over until the whole BR was gone.
ok this kind of explains it. they are probably using something like this on the site. https://wptglobal.com/blog/how-does-wpt-...
that is the ceo of a poker site saying they use AI to rate players skill levels and put them up against certain players etc. for all the naysayers saying it's impossible to rig or do nefarious stuff. it's totally possible. I'm sticking to live poker from now on. I win almost every time I play live.
Obviously when I first started playing on the site I had a low ranking but as I played more the system rated me accordingly and now I'm ****ed. Back to playing live I guess.
It totally makes sense too. A newer player would have a lower rating when they first start(lower rating = win more = keep them on the site = get them hooked) then the more they play it adjusts accordingly. Losing player would continue to just get lucky or break even while a more skilled player would have worse luck and they would lose more often than they should to even it out. = keeps players on the site and keeps the rake churning.

What do you mean by, "a more skilled player would have worse luck and they would lose more often than they should"?
All that system does is try to keep players of roughly the same skill level in games with other players of the same skill level, instead of letting the skilled players bumhunt the novices and whales. It might affect some players' desired game selection, so they might move elsewhere, but it shouldn't be called rigging or nefarious.

Thanks for clarification. I was trying to understand fully how it works. But wouldn't that just create an enviroment where the better players play against better players and bad players players play against bad players, essentially making sure everyone is even and then just rake the crap out of everyone? If you're only playing against evenly matched players the only one winning is the house. I guess my point was. If they have the capability to use AI to rate players skill levels then they definitely have the capability to do just about anything.

You're right about the raking. It is obviously another ("honest") way for them to try to make more profit, but they're trying to spin it to the players as a fairer game, particularly if you're a novice, in that you won't lose quickly to better bumhunter players.
I'm sure all the sites have the capability of rigging the deal, and nefarious actions, (like confiscating bankrolls for minor infringements of their virtually all-encompassing T&C), but that doesn't necessarily mean they will do anything dishonest that would sooner or later lead to a mass exodus of the regs, upon whom they rely to keep the games going, and feeding their golden egg-laying goose businesses. Of course, their businesses are always balancing acts to run, and players need to remain vigilant to anything out of the ordinary, and share information, such as you have, on the poker players' forums.
Thank you for it. It might help some of the readers realise they could do better by moving on if they're experienced, and moving in if they're new to online poker.

I’ve been consistently winning since the site opened. You need to move down in stakes after requesting a cash out. They will take as much as they can before it hits your bank account.
Cashout curse.. more like returning to the mean.
137k hands.. cashed out plenty, no difference after.. cmon.

Plenty of long term winners. IÂ’m sure many just choose to keep it to themselves in hopes of games continuing to be good. Over 45k hands on here IÂ’m up 35k playing mostly .5/1/2 and 1/2/4 with a little 2/4/8. This is coming from someone that was not beating global in the last couple years and would be a huge loser playing acr, coin or any other global sites. It seems like the complainers and riggys are just making excuses for variance in these wild games.
There is a lot more wild plays on here (which is a good thing) by mostly whales that can cause some huge swings. But play mid stakes 2 blind full ring on any other site and itÂ’s like watching paint dryÂ…

The way global does this isn’t some shadowy conspiracy. They just cap the number of winning players who can sit at each table. When a table hits the cap a new reg can’t sit until an existing reg leaves. If Gold implemented this system you would know because you would be limited on which tables you could sit. Well, maybe not you, but a highly rated reg.
I’m still winning playing midstakes (mostly below 2/4/8), but games have gotten significantly tougher since the site opened. You’re just not a winning 1k online player in 2025. That’s not even an insult I play with many of the regs at this level on other tracked sites and the top regs are playing at an extremely high level.

they have house ai bots on neural network playing vs you and adjusting their play vs you based on your rating and HH's that they have back end data on. a5labs openly does this and the scammers that did interview with joe ingram about the site back in december at the wynn talk all about this process.
They are literally pure stealing from the player pool.

Hello,
I wanted to touch base with you all about redemption options. Adding a bank account by providing my bank login credentials seems like a terrible idea. Why would I want to provide that information to a third party when my online bank account has so much important information about me. Needless to say I am not comfortable with doing that.
They have the option of redeeming through debit card. I am assuming they would do some sort of reverse debit to credit my account. Has anyone used this method successfully, and does anyone have any info on if there is a limit.
In reality I probably won't need to worry about any of this if I don't win any money, hahaha.

If you play well, you will win. I am up around 6k since march and playing exclusively MTTs from 11-109s semi regularly.
I have cashed out many times using my BA and it takes 3 days to approve and is in my account by the third day or 4th. One time it was 2 days said and done.
I decided to use debit card as an option and it took 4 days to approve and there by the fifth took forever and won’t do again
Also, you can only have 1 withdraw pending approval at a time, so win 1k withdraw 800 and leave 200.
It takes 3 days to approve that withdraw so when variance hits, and you lose the 200, you can then cancel your withdraw and play again….
Do NOT do that thing as IME I (have swingy habits) lose the entire withdraw.
So when you win, be patient if you lose your “leftover” money just ****ing wait.
Site is from the gods and hope it receives full regulation state to state like WSOP starting in CA
The California Senate's Appropriations Committee just unanimously passed AB831, the sweepstakes casino ban bill. Now heads to the Senate floor for a vote

Anyone got an idea how likely it is to pass senate? And if it does, any idea of a timeline for when it would be gg for california? This is pretty devastating.

Debit card works fine. Not exactly sure how it works but I was able to do it even though I had deposited via credit card. For whatever reason, they de-linked my bank account and I wasn't able to re-link it. I found the debit card option fine and I will continue to use that until my state prevents me from playing (which apparently is imminent)

They have to vote on it AND pass it before September 12 or the rest of 2025 is clear. I'd say unlikely before 2026.
Im not accusing you of lying, im saying 3 days to approve isn't standard or the rule or to be expected anymore. They definitely seem to be throttling cashouts recently. Or they're short of money.... most likely just trying to get my dumb ass and others to cancel and blow it.

I see and agree with you about that
