The other concert I've watched a few times lately is at the other end of the spectrum. Best rhythm section in the world. Freddie Green. Count Basie is kinda similar to Miles in that they both work with space as much as form.

I was listening to this walking my dogs in the park and I'm like first off this is just Impressions but slightly altered and called Flavors and second George Benson is ****ing COOKING on this track. I would have guessed it was Pat Martino with those fast eight note runs. George could do anything.

I am at least six months behind on my Saxophone Noir posts, but I've got them all queued up somewhere in my little brain. Now on this one, I dare you to listen to the opening credits to City on Fire, and not order a double.
