2025 NFL Game Thread – Week 1
Welcome to the start of the 2025 NFL Season!!!
Now, the bad news....The NFL and Rog have already decided that the Kansas
Should have kicked it oob if not going onside
Meatheads do not do math, the clock is a complicated nuisance
It’s amazing how these micro decisions still haven’t been optimized.
well he probably tried kicking it out of the endzone but didn't reach it
Great punt
Why push him out of bounds
The fans are booing!
He might need some coaching on the eye black
Yup, let MN run an extra 47 seconds off the clock by wasting 2MW. (40 sec runoff + 7 sec on KO return)
That blunder should go near the top of the bad coaching thread. Instead of getting ball back with 52 sec and maybe 25% chance of scoring FG, they get ball w/ 5 sec and about 1% chance.
Any HS coach with 4th grade math would know better, but this guy read the Bears playbook so forget about doing anything correctly.
Bobby Douglass ainβt walking through that door.
Sorry Lions fans. Your championship window has closed FOREVER. JJ has arrived. Vikings will own the NFC North longer than Brady owned the AFC East. JJ is the youngest QB in the league.
Assuming the Bears did avoid the clock running and MN got it back with 2:02, I wonder how many coaches itl would correctly throw there. I feel confident KOC would have.
JJ pick 6 = Chess master making a material sacrifice.
I think that int really boosted his confidence. He got to see what it felt like throw a TD pass in the NFL. It’s like when a basketball goes to the line and sees a few go through the hoop, then catches fire.

I remember when Tom Brady was playing in a huge game in 1999 vs Penn State. He threw a pick 6 putting Michigan down 10 pts in the 4th quarter vs the best defense in the country. Google the final score. After that Brady took over. Jj has that moxie just like Brady.
I think it’s way higher than 2.
I think a lot of coaches would think like Ben and trust their kicker to kick it through the end zone.
I think KOC is a great coach, but the returner didn’t even know what to do initially until looking to the sideline. He should have been told what to do before going out there, but at least KOC told him to correctly come out.
I wonder how many coaches would tell their player to kneel in that spot.
Just seems like head coaches don’t study these spots as much as they should. We get to think and analyze forever after the fact, but they have to make insta decisions with a bunch of other **** going on.
I at least think Ben will learn from it. Some coaches would remain stubborn that they made the right decision.
I mean we watch bad clock decisions every week. Even with technical assistants, plenty of bad decisions are being made.
