drop this victor lol, republicans tried to push their cultural preferences in public schools and libraries a ton more than democrats in the last couple of years, it's an uncontroversial fact.

what's surprising is that people on the left consider it bad, while it should be obvious for political power to translate into indoctrination in public spaces (which is why we should have as few public funded cultural spaces as possible), as that is what always happened in history.

the left is just angry because after winning in those spaces for many decades it's currently losing and for many participants, who had never lost before at that particular game, that can send them into a frenzy

I wonder if you understand that how you frame this though, indicates an underlying desire for fascism. The fact you see it as a game... and something to control is troubling, honestly.

The left has tried to ban books, outside some outliers that pushed for books for to be screened or removed that attacked vulnerable groups. Native American liberals ran campaigns on this a few decades back.

Liberals push for ALL books to be seen and read. As someone who is married to a literacy coach, and former teacher, the mantra has always been, make all ideas available. Let people read, good or bad.

Conservatives on the other hand, now, and historically, have tried to ban and remove books they don't agree with, typically for cultural, prejudice or religious reasons. They've tried to ban scientific books, and it's always been about what you said... control of culture.

If your ideas are good, and produce a good... then you shouldn't need to control culture. I don't see or know liberals whom think or frame things how conservatives talk about this. I just don't. They just don't want people arbitrarily banning books. That's it.

I didn't indicate a desire for fascism because given I accept that reality of power my proposed solution is not to have ****ing public libraries, nor public schools, which is kinda the literal opposite of fascism.

I don't want to play the game, because I recognize it as a toxic, poisonous game that can't end well in the long term. and also that I HAVE TO PLAY IT if others do because otherwise they end up dominating me.

Public libraries aren't a power struggle. They are a place to allow the public to read books. My whole point, that went entirely over your head is that the way you frame this, is a projection of how YOU see things, and not how others do.

Books are ideas... and ideas need to be available to all people on societies in order for them to learn and grow. Conservatives historically, have been afraid of new ideas, and often try to destroy them.

For the record, I'm not a white supremacist. 😀 I know this because I'm not even fully "white", and white culture is one of my least favorite cultures. I think to be a white supremacist, one of the first things you need to believe is that your culture is superior to others, which I do not believe.

Sanders Mamdani and AOC have explicitly espoused and materially supported Jewish Supremacy. does that make them White Supremacist or not? probably, but now we are splitting hairs. I happen to think that its a subset of White Supremacy but theres debate on that.

Tlaib and Ilhan serve in some of the highest and most powerful positions of the White Empire so my point is that their personal views dont really matter in that context. maybe they think Whites are superior to them and others or maybe they dont. regardless of their personal feelings they materially support that ideology.
