the idea that only psychopaths avoid having PTSD when they serve in wars is ... psychotic.
calling someone who ends up with PTSD "more humane" is morally horrific and the reason why people like Kirk correctly said the concent of empathy as interpreted by the left was anti human and we needed another word with clear cut negative connotation.
there is such a thing as too much empathy, and it's a bad thing to have, a defect, a problem, as is every emotional response that paralyzes you or makes you less capable of living your life to the fullest.

fwiw I have a huge amount of sympathy for many Israelis who after the Palestinians are also victims of netanyahu. So many will struggle to come to terms with what they have witnessed and become involved in. That's on top of the pariah status that is resulting for Israelis and the fear/reality of legal consequences later in their lives. That all being on top of the deadly risks of 'legitimizing' such an horrific approach.
I don't think not suffering PTSD means being a psychopath but I also think many will suffer later and/or without ever identifying it. It's an appalling thing to do to people.
