OOTV doesnt like family comedies much huh? Raising Hope and The Middle are two of the best(possibly the best outside of
One of the better Dexter season finales we've had in awhile. At least in comparison to the last 2 (Season 8 and New Blood), but I felt it played it pretty safe overall.
Agree, but i'll take safe after the previous 2 finales lol. Dexter season finales were mostly like that, its the series finales they botched.
Very good season though, easily the best since S4. Really happy its back, looking forward to more next year.
Watched 2 episodes of 'The Paper', Office spin-off.
Its okay, better than expected, but also not really good.
Already renewed for S2 so lets hope they find their footing. Took US Office also 1.5 seasons to get there.
Need to catch up on new episodes Alien Earth and Peacemaker.. to much good TV going on
alien earth
seems good. but I'm trying to watch it rn, and can't understand it. probably just cuz I'm too stupid and too high.
like I can't keep track of what a synth, hybrid and cyborg are, and who is which
Spoiler
killing kids makes for some drama
Synth = Android (like Data in Star Trek) example: Olyphant's character
Cyborg = human with tech implants/augmentation (like The Borg) example: the black guy from the crashed ship.
Hybrid = Android body with an actual human mind transferred into it. Example: the kids
And from a timeline perspective, Alien: Earth takes place before the first Alien movie and could be considered a prequel to it.
Does that mean I coul watch it without seeing any of the films?
Yes, but why on earth would you not watch Alien and Aliens
Synth = Android (like Data in Star Trek) example: Olyphant's character
Cyborg = human with tech implants/augmentation (like The Borg) example: the black guy from the crashed ship.
Hybrid = Android body with an actual human mind transferred into it. Example: the kids
thanks!
and I just read that the main girl in the show is the daughter of the friday night light's tv show coach

3 episodes down and Iām digging it. Esmeralda is making me not want to watch it though. Just ****ing awful! The rest is very solid and I do like the main arc.
The last episode of New Blood was so bad that it ruined an 8/10 season for me. There was some dumb stuff in this episode, and to a lesser point, spread throughout the season. But, I feel like they set up future seasons in a safe manner that has me looking forward to what comes next, so I'll take that as a huge win.
Solid season of Dexter, for sure
Dexter ended strong and might be the best season of the show.
I think 1/2/4 are kind of outdated.
New season felt fresh.
not looking good for me unfortunately - saw enough fake medieval battle fantasy tropes in the trailer to be thoroughly put offalso, while i admit this is peak pedantry, having him say wessex like he's speaking modern english instead of using the anglo saxon pronounciation tells me they paid zero attention to the very unique cultural period where the current version of england i
This is an odd complaint because we would not be able to undertand even an Anglo-Saxon speaker from that time period.
Dexter was excellent.
Task is promising through E1
Chief of War I have started and stopped a few times. THink I am finally on board with it though the story is fairly predictable
Task pilot on HBO was great. From the creator of Mare of Easttown.
Sad people do sad things to other sad people. Go watch it!
I'm through 7 episodes of Dexter Resurrection and it has to be up there with one of the best reboots of all time. Great choice of cast. Dinklage is awesome as Prater and I wish we got more episodes of Ritter. I thought (was hoping) they faked her death in the prison. It has some of the cheese factor that the original Dexter had, which is a good thing. It keeps it as light as it can for being a show about serial killers. 3 eps left and most of what I expected to happen, hasn't happened.
Task E2 was really great television. The young woman playing Maeve is remarkable
Erin Moriarty can barely pronounce words because the weight loss made her lips so big and her face so stiff. Damn you, Graves' disease!
Peacemaker S2 is good, but i dont know why James Gunn feels obligated to let us know every single episode how hot and cool his wife is lol. Meanwhile, not 1 action scene with Adrian Chase yet.
The Paper is a good The Office spin-off. Really comes together halfway through. Im a bit biased though, since i worked in local journalism for a long time. Would recommend

Task is great so far. Love having a āprestigeā level show again.
Have you continued with Chief Of War? I stopped after episode 3 and am considering jumping back in if itās worth it.

Yes I think Iām through E7. Itās not elite but pretty good
Set pieces and locations are pretty incredible.
Itās worth a watch I think but not anything unexpected yet at least
Dexter Resurrection faded for me at the end. Wasn't a big fan of the finale and it got kind of stupid that episode. Dinklage was the star of the series and I'm not sure how good it will be without him moving forward. Overall it was solid, excellent by reboot standards, but not up to the peak seasons of Dexter.
