I don't think these people are being financed by outsiders to any significant extent. They are definitely not the "paid protestors" made up by Republicans.They just dress in black, carry signs, and walk around yelling, occasionally breaking things. How much money could be needed for that? Certainly not any more than the resources held by the typical American middle class person

When you go check their (official) funding it was all american money basically.
The "Climate Emergency Fund" (an american non profit) funded most of the activities of those terrorists.

Perhaps, but I think "cancel culture" is too light a term here. I view cancel culture more as a public mob mentality, a culture pressure to not say certain things, often spearheaded by influencers. Not that cancel culture can't be problematic, a tyranny of majority (or social media pressure) can still be brutal for those affected.
However, this is still different. This is the elected head of state bragging about what was to most likely a result of government censorship. The same elected official who recently told his nation he was going to war against citizens he is elected to serve. And all this while dressing himself in fake patriotism, as he rakes in untold fortunes in corrupt bribes while selling his country to the highest bidders.
