New fast food discussion/review thread
OK OOT, it's been a while since we had a devoted fast food thread around here and I think it's time we had a new one.

Might depend on the location. I have two saved locations that are ~10 and ~20 miles away and I get offers pretty regularly from both. Not weekly, but at least a couple a month. CFA is notably generous with the freebies ime.

I did Double Cheese No mustard, free with $3 purchase any size (large) fries, and free with 250 crowns 4 pc nuggets with hidden valley ranch. Was pretty damn good but I was at a historically great BK location.
My bad if it’s been mentioned but just saw you can get free shore points in the Jersey Mike’s app by picking NFL winners. 5 pts a week automatically + 1 pt for each winner (get to pick 8 games/week). They do the same during the NHL season though it’s 3 picks every day.
I haven't had Rick's for a while but needed a fast lunch on the go today, lots of credit to the local franchise for serving up two piping hot picture perfect double cheeseburgers. I seriously haven't had a FF meal that *looked* that good in years. And it was as tasty as McDonalds gets.
that jm football/hocky promotion is quite clever
next step is ability to wager points you earned from in store sandwich and other purchases
bet you a sandwich on the big game takes on a much different seasoning
What's the deal with Taco Bell Tuesday drops??? Last month has been all stupid merch. Bring back the food deals!!!
Unless I win the cool purple slippers. Then all is forgiven.
that reminds me, pretty sure i still have a party poker hat around somewhere
When I think McChickens, I think mayo(like product) with that translucent quality. It's a McD's institution.
BOGO free Beef n Cheddar from RB's, via the app...

BK Whopper Wednesday (3.99) again.
Two Pizza Hut locations in this small town. One gets a B overall, the other gets a D. They closed one location last week. It's not hard to guess which one.
Arggh, crappy McDonald's and crappy Pizza Hut, when in most parts of the country, those franchises are better than mediocre.
I tried the Pretzel Club CFA sandwhich spicy. The pretzel bun was absolutely nothing special -- I've had genuinely good pretzel buns before and this one almost didn't have any distinguishing flavor.
Quite mid experience overall.
They also gave two dijon mustard packets and I couldn’t even open them.
I should complain to CFA….
Anyone that uses T-Mobile, this week the T-Life app has a free Jack in the Box Ultimate cheeseburger as one of it's deals.
I don't want to eat the ultimate cheeseburger cause then you don't get to eat any more.

tbh i preferred the regular bun. the bacon did bothinu doe mw wither
As someone without either in their neighborhood, I love In-N-Out but I would love to try me some Dick's! Greasy fries and burgers are right in my wheelhouse. That's one of the reasons I disagree with most people about In-N-Out's fries. They will undercook 'em to order--that doesn't make them particularly greasy but it does make them limp which is how I prefer them even if I can
Interesting idea to try InO fries lightly fried. I've tried them well done as I've seen recommended many times, and while that does improve them a bit compared to their basic version, they still have that weird dry cardboardy texture I've never had with any other fry, and puts them dead last on my fry list.
I'll try light-fry next time I'm in CA. For science.
Holy cow, undercooked/light fry fries at InO is a massive upgrade. The weird wooden/dryness texture was almost eliminated. I mean, they're still bottom-25% fast food fries, but for the first time I found them actually at least kinda enjoyable without being animal style. Excellent idea, ty for the tip.
There's a JITB down the street from The Orleans, Las Vegas. Never been. I remember they faced problems with food quality many years ago.
I think I'm heading there once this poker game wraps up.
