Second trip to Jipata. I am claiming Jipata as easily the best Thai food in Vegas. You are missing out if you don’t go there. Everything is 10/10 incredible. Dishes all $10-30. They even make their own sour sausage in house and the skin is just perfectly crisp. Also open until 2am every night. Great after poker. Nam kao todFried pork belly Corn tom sumPad kra paoKua klingSour T

Ive lived in Thailand for 16 years. Those dishes look pretty bad tbh. I hope they tasted better than they look?

yeah, the dishes look...ok, but nothing special.

Best Thai I've had lately is Weera, on Sahara/Decatur area.

It’s a level above Weera, and I love Weera. The Nam kao tod is the best I’ve had anywhere in Vegas. Anyone who was a fan of Chada or Lamaii will love Jipata

Toca fired up one of the best steaks I’ve ever had there, and I’ve probably had the NY strip there 30+ times. Props to the grill man tonight.

Lobster taquitos with caviar (not on menu, they hooked it up free) - 10/10
NY strip - 10/10, the Chimmichurri sauce is new and incredible. Perfect crust on the steak
Steak tacos - 10/10, add wasabi for maximum perfection
Hamachi - 10/10, best in Vegas and it’s not close
Caesar - 10/10, best salad anywhere
Cocktails - 10/10
Brown butter cake - 10/10

Still my favorite overall restaurant in Vegas.

Looks fire wj, need to try Jipata

Is it Toca Madera? Is that considered casual?

Somewhere between casual and fine dining. Atmosphere is casual. Pricing is like any other steakhouse, but you can also eat on the cheap too depending on what you’re ordering. Damn good happy hour and Toca Tuesday. InKind discounts can make it half price. Our $316 bill for 4 people including 3 cocktails was about $140 using two $50 off $150 codes and gift cards from Costco. Hard to beat for $35 each plus tip for all of that.

Yukon always great

For which we are all grateful.

Wj, pm me and I'll send you a $50 VISA gift card in appreciation for your work. Consider it a contribution to your next meal tab ,wherever.

Very nice of you, sent you a message.

Vegas got too many good places to eat. Been here 14 years and still have a laundry list of places I want to go to, then they keep opening new spots and it’s hard to get to them all. The struggle is real.

Definitely loving these great food pics. Amazing

This thread, as well as a couple other food related blogs/forums/ social media, has caused the restaurants I'd like to eat at to balloon to over 180.

This thread does not disappoint. Okay, maybe Lamaii. I want to say maybe it was an off day but why go back when there's so many other restaurants to try.

This forum/thread has hyped me to a lot of really great places as well.

And as an out of Towner the cost of trying a new place when there are already great ones I go to is quite high

I definitely feel this. It’s so hard to convince me to try a new place in Vegas at this point when I can just go to one of the many places I love that I know will give me a great meal.

I feel that. But if enough people pile onto a place ITT it’s probably solid.

perspective from someone who owns multiples of the same familiar sock, shoe, wallet, belt, hat, coat, pant, etcetera

how would we ever know about our current favorite places if we never tried anything new

eating as an inherently temporary event formed in our temporal lobes appears to be the perfect opportunity to explore different sources for raw shucked pearl oysters no matter market price

Cocktails at Doberman - 10/10
Chips and sour cream/onion dip - 9/10

Sicilian pizza at Scarr’s - 9/10

Went back to Scarr’s for another round.

Vodka pesto Sicilian - 7.5/10
Pepperoni regular style - 9/10

And another great cocktail at Doberman:

JalapeΓ±o bacon smashburger from Turkey and the Wolf was really good, 9/10. $16

Brownie flight from Dandelion Chocolate also great, 9/10. $7.50

As a onetime journeyman bartender, I have to know, What's with the clothespin?

Is that an eviscerated grapefruit wheel?

AKA a Midland Burger. OMW. I predict that Red goes berserk...

God the V’s new food court is so good. And I’m walking distance. Very bad news for the waistline.
