Netflix "Watch Instantly"
I just recently rejoined Netflix and was pleased to see they have added a "Watch Instantly" feature where you can stream
From the creator of Peaky Blinders and starring Jack Gleeson (Joffrey).
Dublin, 1868. The Guinness family patriarch is dead, and his four children — each with dark secrets to hide — hold the brewery's fate in their hands.
I watched the first 3 episodes, not bad not great, it's something to watch.
Agreed. Solid but not a must watch.
I felt the same about Black Rabbit. I think it was solid. It had some Ozark feel to it. But it’s not a much watch. Kind of disappointed compared to my expectations.
I thought Black Rabbit was 100% meh. It's okay and watchable but isn't really good.
Monster: Ed Gein comes out tomorrow.
Black rabbit started pretty interesting but got kind of lost. 6/10. Watchable but halfway through I only finished it to finish it.
Halfway through and it’s gnarly so far. I’m disturbed.
The Monster stories have all been phenomenal.
I just finished it tonight.
I can't comment on how accurate the story was, although I wouldn't be surprised if they took a ton of liberties and a lot of it wasn't factual.
That said, Charlie Hunnam deserves all the awards.
I finished it and thought it was really good from beginning to end. Definitely some fabrication and embellishment, based on what I’ve read. But I enjoyed the main story and the side stories.
Charlie was phenomenal. I can’t imagine the mentality it takes to act some of those scenes and play that general demeanor.
The rest of the acting was great too.

was surprised when I found out Charlie Hunnam got this role but man he really nailed it
As for the fabrication and embellishment
Spoiler
As I was watching it I was assuming they were going for the angle where you were watching it through the eyes/mind of a severely disturbed schizophrenic. Like most of the scenes with Adeline clearly didn't happen anywhere outside of Ed's own mind
It did make me realize how much I love music from the 1940s.
Monster: Ed Gein is pretty bad. It's overacted (the acting is atrocious) and overproduced. It has an American Horror Story vibe to it, and that's not a compliment.
My wife called it cheesy, and I think that's a good description.
It's a great story - just tell the damn story.
Atomic Blonde was a solid rec - Black Bag in the same vein worth the watch
More of an Agency vibe actually
could be good
Anybody liked Atomic?
Turned it off after 2 episodes …
Dark Wolf : The Terminal List
I thought this was excellent and even better than The Terminal List (which was great!) which this is a prequel to. Lots of action, good story, good characters, well acted. If you like action and espionage this is a must watch. I hope Amazon keeps turning Jack Carr stuff into series because so far they have been great!

Having watched neither, do I start with the prequel?
New season of the diplomat is out 🍿
And woman in cabin ten was pretty dumb but entertaining enough to watch.
New Diplomat! Already binged 4 episodes. It does a great job of balancing soapy-like plot points and relationships without turning completely ridiculous. Unlike most Shondra Rimes crap.
Diplomat may be one of my favorite recent non-commercial teevee shows. S3 looks good, so far, 2 episodes in.
Yes I watched two of the Diplomat eps last night and really enjoyed it

Black Rabbit felt like a missed opportunity. I needed a reason to root for one of the main characters, even if I knew deep down that the character wasn't a good person, but I didn't find myself rooting for any of them.
I did like the look of the show, and I loved the guy who played the deaf gangster.
Yeah, I gave up on Black Rabbit after 3 episodes.
Damn. That sucks. I was really looking forward to Black Rabbit after listening to so much hype from Bateman on Smartless the last few years.

It’s fine and certainly not bad…IMO, it just stopped developing after being set up really well.
I don’t have much time for tv so I need to be super committed to keep going
Has the Pitt been discussed yet ITT? I’ve been enjoying that a lot so far
