I have faith, but the home/road splits have been something. This is a good spot to overcome the bad road performances, especially with the Jets losing Wilson. You have to beat the bad teams to be a good team.

DB knows what's up.

But yeah, I'm cautiously optimistic knowing a let down is entirely possible.

They've also had a top 5 easiest schedule.

Yes. It's impressive though for the Lions who have had one of the toughest ones (#3 according to Sagarin).

by feel wrath m

who (other than Mickey) had Steelers being 2.5 games ahead in their division by week 6 in their season predictions?

I predicted they'd be 5 games ahead so I am sure others here were more accurate than my prediction.

In other news, Godgers #2 pass catcher avg. 360 yds/yr before this yr, his #3 avg. 413 yds/yr before this yr and his #4 is a blocking TE who has avg 1.16 catches/gm in his 3 seasons at georgia and 2 previous yrs in the NFL.

Get this man a second top 100 pass catcher!

Darnell Washington was both good and effective in limited playing time at Georgia. He shared a position with a generational TE talent in Bowers, with McConkey as another passing game weapon, so he never got a lot of targets.

Only so much you can do with a guy that can't throw with any real velocity or struggles to throw the ball more than 15 yards downfield.

the KC racists are doing ok with a QB like that

Apparently there's been 358 teams to start 1-5, and only 4 (1%) have made the playoffs.

This seems like a steal

of no particular import, but surprised Brown has no FFs or FRs in his 73 game career

Where are you at with Bryce?

It's an interesting note, but I think it's mostly a byproduct of how he plays. He's a guy who goes for the tackle over going for the ball. He's not a speed hard hitter. He just plays good fundamental ball and is such a space eating disruptor. I wouldn't want him to land on me haha.

I certainly don't have confidence he's the long term guy, but he's shown some high ceiling flashes. He's never going to impress on film, partly because of his lack of size, stature, and speed. But I also think he is discredited a bit, because I do think some of the things he does out there are special, even if they don't end up on a highlight reel.

He's still lacking week to week consistency and still does some completely boneheaded things out there, which is frustrating since he was billed as this high IQ guy that could overcome his lack of size and athleticism playing off script with intelligence. I'm hoping he fixes those mistakes with more experience, but there is no guarantee.

Unless he completely falls apart the rest of this year, I'm guessing the FO picks up his 5YO next May. Then depending on how 2026 goes, he could be in contract extension discussions in the summer of 2027. The problem is we know what it'll cost, and we could end up with a contract like Tua, Kyler, etc. While it would suck to start over at QB, you almost have to in this day and age to not saddle yourself with an average QB on a cap crippling contract. It's elite or bust if you want chances at a SB.

It's more likely than not that Bryce will never be an offense elevator.

sounds like exactly the guy not to lock into a long term contract

NATIONAL FOOTBALL LEAGUE POWER RANKINGS - WEEK SIX1. Chiefs (3-3)2. Packers (3-1-1)3. Eagles (4-2)4. Bills (4-2)5. Lions (4-2)6. Bucs (5-1)7. Colts (5-1)8. Broncos (4-2)9. Rams (4-2)10. Seahawks (4-2)11. Jaguars (4-2)12. Chargers (4-2)13. Niners (4-2)14. Steelers (4-1)15. Pats (4-2)16. Commanders (3-3)17. Vikings (3-2)18. Bears (3-2)19. Falcons (3-2)20. Texans (2-3)21. Cowboys

Great job putting the Chiefs at number 1. Most are delaying the inevitable and have them at 5. This offense is already humming. Getting Rice back will make them unstoppable. Their RB room is playing much better. Pacheco is getting his explosiveness back. Hunt is playing well. B Smith will become more and more of a weapon.

The Lions and Bucs should be ahead of the Packers, Eagles and Bills. I don't know where to put the Eagles and the Bills because right now they are not good teams. The Bills will hang in there because they have Josh. Their defense is trash. Their offense is fine as long as no one gets hurt. They didn't have Kinkaid and the offense didn't look good. I do think they might make a big trade for another WR...Chris Olave. If this happens they will be right back towards the top. The Eagles have some injuries and are paying for their losses on defense. Howie will engineer a trade for sure.

The Falcons should be around the 10 area. I wouldn't be shocked if they end up towards the top at the end of the year. If Penix can give them consistent play they have elite players surrounding him. The D line has significantly improved.

All teams below Denver are pretenders. If/when the Broncos get it going on offense they too will be toward the top. This is a legendary D and it's about to get a lot better when Dre Greenlaw gets back.

Jets too high.

This tier breakdown is awful.

Detroit should be in the good tier.

Buffalo should be in the Ass tier.

Denver should be in the Not Ass tier.

Atlanta should be in the Ass tier.

Reading that made me laugh, which is what the tier breakdown is good for.

3-3 with the Chiefs schedule is very good. Didn't see a good reason to not have them top of the heap given how unconfident a lot of teams feel all of a sudden.

Bucs are fun, frisky. Just like the Colts. Bucs have played a harder schedule than them though.

But their wins are by 3, 1, 2, 3, and 11 over a very hobbled and potentially fading Niners team. Reasonable that they deserved to beat Eagles. I dunno, both Tampa and Indy scream wild card weekend loss to me.

Seattle's schedule has also not been hard but I like the Seahawks a lot as a NFC sleeper.

Regarding the Bucs. If they are healthy at playoff time they could go somewhere. Evans, Godwin, Irving, McMillan have all been out. They have had key offensive linemen out. This team is right up there in talent when healthy.

The Colts are a cute team but aren't going anywhere. I feel like Jones is gonna turn back into a pumpkin at some point. I predict that happens when the injury bug inevitably hits their squad. He does look great behind a top offensive line though.

BTW: I have officially forgiven Denver Broncos GM George Payton for drafting Pat Surtain over Justin Fields.

I feel insane for saying this but you gotta but the pats on tier 1

I’m mad at you for feeling you needed to explain Indiana Jones to this noob

That's because the Jets are the better team. I mean, I guess technically not as they aren't even FG favorites. I like every team with 2 or more wins ahead of them except the Bengals and Raiders.

Maye does seem good, but let's pump the ****ing brakes. The only good team they beat this year is the Bills (and we are seeing how questionable their defense is) and they lost to the awful Raiders.

If the Titans can muster any offense this week, I could see them losing.

True story, the Panthers have won 9 of Bryce’s career starts. In 8 of those wins, he’s led a game winning drive. There’s something in there.

Pro: Titans will also have the New Coach Bump

Con: the new coach is Mike McCoy

I might be on an island on this point….certainly the media get totally breathless about them…but I’m ambivalent about Q4 comebacks, moxy, final drive wins etc. touchdowns carry the same value at whatever time they’re scored and a 4th quarter QB is worse than a 1st Quarter QB if his team score fewer overall points

Herbie is about to play a defense thats so thin at CB theyre playing WRs. If he doesnt get right here...

but they’ll only need to cover three man routes because the TE and RB stay in max protect because this
