What happened with Jones? Suddenly he juiced up, hit 50 home runs and became a DH? Went to the Dodgers and just out of nowhere he became terrible? I never felt like that was explained. Unless his birth year was off by 5 years or something?

He got paid, then he got fat.
Which is a shame for that being how people remembered him, Dodgers fans especially.
So he had an eating problem or something? He clearly wanted to play baseball, he hung on as a part time DH guy a couple of years and then played a couple of years in asia too. Seems weird that a stellar long time athlete like that would just ruin their career by getting fat.
