The impeachment process does not appear to be an effective check on the power of US presidents, who are to all intents and purposes above the law.

Several Republicans voted to remove, resulting in an easy majority (just not enough to reach the threshold). I think there is a much higher desire to end the Trump era in Congress now than there was then.

I am no constitutional lawyer so no clue . Based on your list I see a few items that Biden and Obama did as well and never faced a impeachment We both know its never gonna happen though I am sure the Dems will try if they get what is suspected a large win in 2026 but it will never pass the senate .
I think the best strategy is for the Dems to choose their next candidate wisely in 2028 and under the age of 55 and pivot on some policies

86% of Republicans voted not guilty. This resulted in a vote of 57-43 guilty. As I said in my post, an easy majority, but not enough to remove. I also said far closer than I expected it to be (I expected 52-48 at most.
