RFK - Make America Healthy? again?

I believe this guy is going to need his own thread.

The bright side of the right wing takeover of the FDA and CDC by people who have no idea what they are talking about, is that its basically only right wing people will die because they won't get Covid vaccinations when they are over 65. Yes, the number of Covid deaths is now low (at about 350 per week or 18,000 per year), kind of like the Flu.

Natural selection .

I wish it were that simple. Unfortunately, vaccines don't completely protect the elderly and there are many immuno-compromised that either cannot get vaccinated or will not benefit properly from it. Tragedy will not be limited to those that choose that path willingly, unfortunately.

It will be mainly in red states , it’s ok .
Collateral victims always sucks but at least it isn’t gaza .

No it's not better just because they are in red states.

Rural areas in blue states are also affected by this anti vaccine thing. But its the right wing MAGA, MAHA, QAnon, etc. people who are getting all of their anti-vax info from Podcasts and choosing to avoid it until a family member dies from Covid and then sometimes they get convinced to vaccinate. And sometimes they will believe that God decides who lives and dies and vaccines won't make any difference.

And while Gorgonian is 100% right that there are people who can't take vaccines for medical risk reasons, but that is typically only 2% to 3% of the elderly population.

When I was looking at all the CDC Covid death data after vaccines were approved, it was roughly 80% to 85% of all Covid related deaths that were people who had not been vaccinated. Another 10% to 14% were people who had taken a first vaccine shot but hadn't taken their second one (and now it would be people who hadn't taken any boosters). And roughly 4% to 6% of the deaths were people who had been vaccinated but for whatever medical reasons couldn't survive anyway.

Its not that vaccines are 100% effective in stopping deaths from Covid. But they are extremely effective, just not 100%. Most vaccinated people didn't need to be hospitalized when they got Covid whereas a lot of unvaccinated people did. Similarly Covid vaccines (like Flu vaccines) couldn't stop the spread of Covid. But they did slow it down substantially.

On the positive side.

At least those kids that died from the vaccine didn't die from covid.

I'm sure their parents are extremely grateful for that.

Right, the nirvana fallacy is one the conspiracy donks love to bang on about.

That reminds me of a joke that was going around a while back.

What's a good thing about being a conspiracy theorist?

Fwiw if the vaccine end up killing them, strange to think the covid would not kill them even more easily…

Ducy ?

Rule of thumb: vaccines killing a person would be so important (and rare) they're would 100% be an accompanying peer reviewed case study. Without one, it's much more likely that someone just believes it was the vaccine without evidence or justification.

Vaccines killing a child would be even more so. Note that none were provided.

So the FDA guy is making stuff up without actual proof. Children do die. But if somebody is going to make statements like that they should also include an actual study that proves what they are saying. And for the record, over 17,000 children age 1 through 7 died of Covid.

'Dr. Amesh Adalja, a senior scholar at the Johns Hopkins Center for Health Security and a spokesperson for the Infectious Disease Society of America, said in a statement to ABC News, "The FDA’s memo on vaccines is bereft of any actual medical data that could justify their conclusion linking deaths with Covid vaccines."

"To make such a claim, one would need to know basic things such as the age of the patients, the type of vaccines they received, their underlying conditions, what type of analysis was done to establish a causal link, etc," Adalja added.

"The statement will only serve to increase anti-vaccine sentiment and further politicize an issue that should not be politicized," Adalja said.'

They say stuff like that so the bjs of the world will spread it far and wide. Of course he immediately did like a good little boy.

Ah no, he's not making stuff up. These were real deaths reported to VAERS which they have analysed for causality. They concluded that at least ten were highly likely to be vaccine related. Sure it's not definitive proof but rather is an estimate of the likelihood of causality. A conservative estimate apparently. So it's also likely an under estimation of the real number.

Here's an excerpt from the Prasad letter.

In the summer of 2025, Dr. Hoeg began investigating VAERS reports of children who had died after administration of the COVID-19 vaccine. By late summer, she had concluded that there were in fact deaths-- a fact this agency had never publicly admitted.

Dr. Hoeg organized a small meeting to discuss these deaths with (Office of Vaccines Research and Review) OVRR and OBPV stakeholders. The slides she presented, emails she sent, and distorted firsthand reports was shared with media outlets. The general narrative was that OVRR staff disagreed with Dr. Hoeg’s assessment that the deaths were due to vaccine receipt. Some staff present who leaked portrayed the incident as Dr. Hoeg attempting to create a false fear regarding vaccines.

I then asked OBPV to perform a detailed analysis of deaths voluntarily reported to the VAERS system-- in full interest of balance.

Causality is easy to assess in a randomized trial, but with case reports, causality is typically assessed on a subjective scale. In this scale ranging from certain to unlikely-- certain, possible/likely, and probable are broadly considered as related to the product.

The team has performed an initial analysis of 96 deaths between 2021 and 2024, and concludes that no fewer than 10 are related. If anything, this represents conservative coding, where vaccines are exculpated rather than indicted in cases of ambiguity. The real number is higher.

This is a profound revelation. For the first time, the US FDA will acknowledge that COVID-19 vaccines have killed American children. Healthy young children who faced tremendously low risk of death were coerced, at the behest of the Biden administration, via school and work mandates, to receive a vaccine that could result in death. In many cases, such mandates were harmful. It is difficult to read cases where kids aged 7 to 16 may be dead as a result of covid vaccines.

Well yeah sure, lol VAERS.

But one would assume as part of their analysis they verified the authenticity of the reports.

Vaer …. Ho boy ….
Vaer is great to start an investigation, not to be a conclusion of it .

You assume a lot then come here try to make a strong claim shrug .
Main stream science is not assume based ..

Its wild how the Republicans long term plan is to turn this country into a 3rd world propaganda **** hole full of illiterate idiots

They did not. ANYONE can post a claim.... as an example, you could easily posted a hundred reports of C19 deaths. Maybe someone looked into yer 100, may they didn't.

Sound very scientific to you?

The illiterate idiots were already here. The GOP sold their soul to someone who spoke their language; Trump.

Wow, these guys love their Fauci juice.

Don't forget to get the latest boosters guys. And mask up.

It’s not needed no more shrug .

See that what’s look like not being cultist …
(Tho yes probably I will get my yearly flu shot, you probably against that too ..)

Ps: funny u bring fauci while what we speak of got nothing to do with him .

They never were needed. You were duped.

And yeah, the flu shots are next to useless as well.
