agreed. but I do think a woman of color could wipe the floor with Vance. I just don't think a woman of color who is so clearly a complete sell out could do it.

a woman of color would have to energize the masses to win. and people won't get behind her if she is a sellout to the corporate class

His thing on jazz was amazing. I have probably watched it five times. He relies too heavily on Wynton Marsalis' narrative, but aside from that it's almost perfect.

There are things I admire about my personal myth of Abraham Lincoln. He was miserable, had a miserable wife, a miserable son, a miserable union, had frequent migraine headaches, and was so ugly he had to grow a beard, which a lot of us can identify with. Yet he continued on and did his best.

Lincoln is the American Jesus, he was crucified in Ford theatre for America's sins. He's one of the most mythologized people in history, which means he's a screen on which people project their fear and desire.
