I'm trying to Figure out how to equate the stakes to a normal cash game:
1/2 (1) = Pot sized raise is 13 in a 6 handed game (400 max buy in)
1/2/4 (1) = 23 PFR open size. Stacks are 400 caped
2 4 (2)
2 4 8 (2)
5 10 (5)
5 10 20 (5) - Total cost of 75 dollars per round, so that's argument to say it's equal to a 25 50 game. But the PFR max raise is 75 + 40 = 115 compared to a 25 50 game that would open for 175. Also, max buy in is 2K only.
Is there someone who's great at math and understands this well who can elaborate?

I'd just multiply the dead money at the start of the hand by .67 and call that number the new BB

I'm in california and will be looking to play on WPT gold starting in Jan. Does anyone know if WPT gold is going to be around in california in Jan 2026? I dont want to be stuck like those guys in new york that had to go to a "sweepstakes legal" state to withdrawal their balance from WPT gold after they ignored the sweepstakes ban there.

I'm guessing that if they were going to cut people off before Jan 1 they would have let us know by now. Global is cutting off Californians, and they notified people a few days ago that 12/30 would be the last day to play, but people can redeem up through Jan 14. Whatever they do, I'm pretty sure they will give you enough warning to be able to redeem your SC.

Hopefully that's the case but I'm not going to be stupid and leave a ton of buyins on this site. Anyone in California should keep the bare minimum on here. WPT and these companies are very greedy and lack integrity so I wouldn't be so sure our money is safe.

There is no way there are getting around the ban unless they are pumping a ton of money into Cali lobbying or something. NY already grouped them in and California is way more strict. Its not if, its when, so this comment is spot on.

Anybody had success troubleshooting the geolocator (permanently)?
I just started playing here again and was able to get in every day for about a week. It would take 2-3 tries every time but always worked by the third try.
Now can't get it to work at all, many attempts, disabled antivirus, tried on a laptop, etc.
Maybe I should try diff ISPs, satellite, anything to get a different IP address.
Pads posted a screenshot on IG of the results of 6 bots playing against each other in a lab with identical strategies for 250k hands.
One was losing >20evbb/100 and one was winning 12evbb/100 or something.
Is that within normal variance limits?

Seems like there were some bugs when doing the cash drop yesterday, but there was an update this morning, so hopefully the cash drops should work better between now and the 28th? We'll see. I'll be keeping their X account up on my second monitor while I play just in case.

Cha-ching! Who needs a rakeback program that matches industry standard when you can send 100 people to Vegas every few months via tourneys and do a cash drop promo that barely works on release? Congrats on the win, btc, but be careful about your use of the word "dollar." That's 1 chip you won as far as the state is concerned.

Yeah - I eventually got seats after what felt like hotfix. Won 1 chip but better than nothing.
It seems like the new update was primarily put in place to put me on distribution mode. The amount of <1k hand players absolutely crushing the odds today was astounding.

Fact. To further illustrate that point - yesterday I played the full period and received exactly that - nothing.
Additionally they turned up the distribution mode dial to 11 (RIP RR).
