Well, immigration is very good for the ownership class* because it increases competition, lowers income, leverage and social cohesion for the labor class.
Whether that is a net positive or not probably depends on your frame of reference and priorities.
*It does seem you need to have some base level of economic productivity from the immigrant pool for this to be true. In Europe much of the immigration pool seems to be highly economically unproductive; so there is virtually no upside to the nation, except for progressives feeling better about themselves.

however you are smart enough to know that not getting tax returns means we gave govt mainly a 0% loan on our money where we could have put that in a 3% cd of hat 50$ or 3000$ and gotten 15-75$ back. so essentially not getting tax returns means you are doing more than fine. Dude, the taxes are withheld out of their checks + sales taxes +TARIFFs, etc and they get way less benefit because they don’t get the major gov programs that those monies fund (SS, Medicare).

I wouldn't use 2p2 posters, or any form of social media, as your barometer of what people on any side believe. And on immigration, you're going to get 20 different solutions from people on the "left" from 20 different people. Same if you ask people on the "right."
The reality is that no party truly wants to eliminate illegal immigration. It's a huge economic boon to our country, as previous posters have pointed out, provided we're not full on open borders. And it's a great talking point for the GOP, which would prefer to use it as a talking point than actually "solve" anything on the policy level.
But to answer your question, most people on the left would likely advocate for a more humane approach than just sending ICE into immigrant communities and rounding people up. There are some people on what might be described the "far left" who would support open borders, but that's not the majority view. Most people probably would say we should have stricter controls at the border, and foreign policy solutions that decrease the number of people trying to come into the country illegally, but for people already here, deportations should focus on people who commit crimes, and/or that there should amnesty granted to some subset of undocumented residents.

I do not know how to read tea leaves, so exactly when and where the errors started is hard to say. Still, I suspect they started well before the shooting occurred as there is no impression that officers are in control of the scene, situation or are aware of their situation and what events might unfold.
That in itself could be symptomatic of poor training, shoddy screening, lax standards and crap readiness, so you might be looking at causes that happened years, months, weeks, days, hours, minutes and seconds before the incident takes place, or any combination of such causes.
Unfortunately, they are under leadership more intent on lying to for their own political benefit than honest inquiry, which means you will not see the root causes of errors like this fixed. The American tendency (exceptions apply) to enjoy the killing of fellow citizens they do not like will not help either.

She was following them around harassing and impeding them, and had been for some time. And her “girlfriend” was with her and had stepped out of the car to videotape the harassment, which is the primary footage we are all seeing.
They had finally had enough and tried to arrest her. And then she panicked and then they panicked, and what happened happened.
