I don’t understand what the problem is supposed to be: They buy up SFH and do what exactly? Unless they are pulling them off the market I’m not sure what it’s supposed to be doing to shrink housing supply.

Ultimately they would just have smaller LLCs owned by a larger LLC that is owned by a couple shell corps that are owned by a foreign subsidiary of blackrock buy houses

Anyway buying up random houses in neighborhoods to make even a 3k per month profit margin isn’t exactly a winning investment strategy for large investment firms. No matter what you do, people have a hard limit on how much they can afford to pay for rent.
