You'd just have said "no" if the answer was "no". So, thanks for clarifying.

That's not how the law works buddy.

That's not how the law works buddy.

I know. (Actually I'm not sure. I'm not a laywr, or a LEO.) I don't care about the law here. I just wanted your opinion on the question posed. I now have it.

You're ****ing paranoid, dude.

Pentagon readies 1,500 troops for potential Minnesota deployment, US officials say

Surely that will calm things down

as stupid as voting for people you don't support?

Thanks democracy, it was nice knowing you.

If the alternative is literal fascism, it's not stupid. But apparently you are.

by formula72 m

Who are these people that you do like? Do they exist? Because I have reasons as to why people are quick to hating everyone but again, is there someone in congress or anywhere in the universe where you'd say, damn, that guy's got his **** together"

There really should be someone that liberals who use the word 'we' when discussing not wanting to vote for Democrats have in mind.

I'm not a liberal. And no, not really. But some are closer than others.

It didn't start here did it?

and all the being clever is why the alternative is still planning to do **** all. Then as always the future will arrive.

by chezlaw m

It didn't start here did it?

What didn't start here? I've only been legally allowed to vote in one US election so far. Doesn't matter where it started, if you are referring to me, that's the only one I can answer for.

It's not about you.

If you agree with the point and are saying that only in dire circumstances would you vote for someone you don't support then we have no quarrel

If you agree with the point and are saying that only in dire circumstances would you vote for someone you don't support then we have no quarrel

This all depends on what you mean by "don't support."

"Don't think is optimal" is very different from "oppose everything they do" but you seem to be treating them equally. I'm not sure where you got the phrase "vote for someone you don't support," either, because I'm pretty sure it wasn't from me. If I'm voting for them, I support them.

That doesn't mean I like them or think they are the right fit. They are just a better fit than the alternative.

This doesn't seem controversial.

I'm not treating them equally nor do I seek anything like perfection.

It's more like 'they are making it worse but not as much as the other lot would'

by chezlaw m

It's more like 'they are making it worse but not as much as the other lot would'

Honestly, if you don't see why you would vote for a person that doesn't make it as bad as the other person would, I'm not sure how else I can help you? What exactly are you not understanding?

Okay so it wasnt to do with 'literal fascism' then.

You believe in voting least worst. Well you know where you're going to end up.

by chezlaw m

Okay so it wasnt to do with 'literal fascism' then.

If you are referring to the most recent three presidential elections, yes, it certainly was. If not, ok?

So do you still need help understanding why someone might vote for a person they don't like? Or do you still need help understanding why I voted for anyone I voted for?

Or are you just desperately flailing around to try to salvage an internet point here?

It’s the latter.

by whatthejish m

It’s the latter.

(Oh I know, I just enjoy making it painfully obvious so that even they have to quietly acknowledge it in their heads before they do what he's about to do)

I think I'd stick to that level if I were you

by chezlaw m

I think I'd stick to that level if I were you

What does that even mean?

lol

Never would have guessed civil war begins in Minnesota

The civil war of a bunch of middle aged Americans fighting against each other for the money shot for their YouTube channel? We arent anywhere near a war.

Things will probably get a lot worse and we still wouldn't be in a civil war.

by Gorgonian m

What does that even mean?

lol

don't worry mate. just declare victory.

Don't worry about what happens if it get worse when the 'good guys' win and we don't always win.

Sure buddy. Here's your internet point you're scrambling so hard for.

by chezlaw m

You believe in voting least worst.

What way do you believe in voting? Most worst?

by TheBigEasy m

What way do you believe in voting? Most worst?

It's baffling that they can't see how dumb that argument is hahahaha

by Gorgonian m

Sure buddy. Here's your internet point you're scrambling so hard for.

No no that's all yours

nice graphic. Well, done!

by TheBigEasy m

This gets it over with faster.
