If you lived in Minneapolis, and an ICE agent demand ID.....
......would you comply. (You have broken no law. You're just walking into the grocery store.)
Why or Why not?
philosoraptor sez: communism is when fascist kleptocracy ???
thanks for embodying my point, appreciate it
In the current status of Minnesota and ICE bringing a ****ing gun to protest ice is a fxxking stupid decision
A phone could easily be mistaken for a gun. Is it a stupid fxxking decision to bring a cell phone to a protest?
There are drunk drivers on the roads. Is it a stupid fxxking decision to drive on the road?
also just a general **** you to the constitution. written by literal slave owners who wrote that black people were worth 3/5 of a person. all kinds of other ****ed up **** in there too.
and **** the decleration of independence too. it says "merciless indian savages"... and was written by Thomas Jefferson who regularly raped his teenage slave.
OMG go the **** away. The Constitution has been amended.
even funnier that libs and maga actually just end up calling each other communists. of course american conservatives always call dems that no matter what, but i was watching something the other that reminded me how kopala called orangeman a communist dictator during the campaign. and then in carney's "epic speech" the other day, again, compared what trump's doing to the communi
I did notice that part of the Carney speech too
Jon Stewart got you covered here. All cued up to about 15m in:
My guess is ICE doesn't even approach a guy with an AR-15, let alone roust him for proof of citizenship. They know better that while they might be able to kill him, he'll go down spraying enough to take out at least one of them and cripple a couple more.
A communist state, also known as a MarxistβLeninist state, is a form of government that combines the state leadership of a communist party, MarxistβLeninist political philosophy, and an official commitment to the construction of a communist society. Modern communism broadly grew out of the socialist movement in 19th-century Europe as a program to replace capitalism with a stateless, classless, and moneyless society, but its application as MarxismβLeninism began later in the Soviet Union under Joseph Stalin.
[...] In accordance with Marx's theory of the state, communists believe all state formations are under the control of a ruling class. Communist states are no different, and the ruling communist party is defined as the vanguard party of the most class conscious section of the working classes, particularly the proletariat but sometimes including the peasantry, such as under its Maoist formulation. Communist states usually affirm that the working class is the state's ruling class and that the most class-conscious workers lead the state through the communist party, establishing the dictatorship of the proletariat as its class system and, by extension, the socialist state, which will eventually wither away into a communist society free of oppressions.
to state the obvious, orangeman isn't seizing the means of production on behalf of and for the benefit of the workers. he's looting the country for himself and his mega-rich friends. usa#1 never has been and probably never will be anything remotely resembling communism, unfortunately. i'm sure many will never stop hyperventilating and self-owning over the very thought of it though.
but if Kopala said that, he's closer to the truth than any right-winger.
an amazing thing to say
If Charlie Kirk just stays home he never gets shot
But I really donβt like it when some of them dress in fatigues. I canβt really articulate why exactly, it just makes me uneasy.
Yeah. I articulate it as that person is either 1) a dude who still thinks he's in Fallujah, or 2) a Call of Duty poser cosplaying as a dude who thinks he's in Fallujah.

I'm not disagreeing.
I thought my initial comment was pretty obviously tongue and cheek, as I was trying to point out, somewhat hyperbolically, that we went from 0% equity stake in public companies, to stake in 11 companies. I wasn't saying America is becoming communist under Trump. I just thought it was funny how if you told me 20 years ago, conservatives would be ok w/ the state buying stake in public companies, I would have said you're fkn nuts.
This incredible healthcare actually wasnβt so. It was for his loyalists and his inner circle, the hospitals were overcrowded because they had so many slaves worked to their death for their elites. Obv no healthcare for the 10 million or so they purposefully killed to stay in business or for the workers gave up on. That part was an incredible accomplishment, I guess.
The dude handed out some of the worst working conditions for the people in all of human history under the coveted system that was pretended to be aimed to protecting said people.
But like seriously, rank the top 3 most awesome things under Stalin for the people - which was what that whole idiotic system was supposed to be about. Was it the healthcare, the labor, the space flights, life expectancy? Really, what was it?
Neither term completely fits, my point was, when you have a government taking shares of key sectors, it gets closer to communism, than not.
It doesn't resemble communism at all. If anything, it actually moves it further away because now the govt relies more on the private biz to fund itself.
“Liberals don’t like communism” is not the own that far leftists think it is

They are publically traded companies. And if the government owns them all, what would that be?
I was making a joke. Apparently a bad one.
Iβm used to seeing the rifles. I live in a permitless carry state.
But I really donβt like it when some of them dress in fatigues. I canβt really articulate why exactly, it just makes me uneasy.
Seems like people in military gear carrying assault rifles making you nervous doesn't need a lot of articulation.
Not to take away from MN but ICE got into the Phoenix area hard yesterday. 15 different Zipps Sports Bar locations got hit.
The problem is that it is virtually impossible under the current law to charge a federal agent in a case where they are acting in an official capacity. Even when it is this egregious. They essentially operate in a constitution-free zone.
If it was a local cop, heβd be on his way to a life sentence.
Maybe, maybe there is a tort claim.
This is depressing. Does this also protect the agents from not having to worry about breaking people's 4th amendment rights on the street?

Anyone can own shares, you, me the government. The government is only buying a small minority stake and doesnβt control anything. Itβs Appleβs choice whether to sell a majority stake, which they wouldnβt do, and the government canβt override that. The govt is essentially just getting piece of the action for themselves, which helps the company.
So in the past 48 hours I’ve had:
-My dad, an immigrant naturalized in 87 who has always either voted R or not at all, call me to tell me that he as fedexing me my original birth certificate and that I should carry it on me at all times, and that he has begun wearing his passport in one of those travel bags whenever he goes out.
-My in-laws, both immigrants naturalized in 95, make me come over for a sit down in which they made me promise to take care of their daughter if anything happens to them.
-Gotten an “incident report” from my older kids kindergarten that he tackled a classmate and punched him repeatedly because the other kid kept calling him “illegal” and so he is suspended.
None of us live anywhere near where any of the craziest stuff is happening. This **** is really poisoning the country in a terrible way and makes me very sad.
So I guess the answer is yes - I would carry citizenship documentation because it might make some kind of difference on some level.

Enlightening.
And if the government owns all the equity in all companies, what would that be?
That was the whole point of my joke. We went from having zero equity in private companies, and conservatives that talked about the separation of state and private industry since I can remember, to buying up chunks of stock in 11 major companies.
I was making a point, that has now flown over two people's heads. But it's been fun drowning on about this.
