2025 MLB Season Thread
The Tokyo series is March 18-19th, will air on FOX, and is between The Cubs and The Dodgers.

I've been a Dodger fan since I was in little league a looong time ago. I don't know if I really want them to go after Skubal if the impact of Valdez combined with the looming arbitration decision is in fact Detroit deciding to trade Skubal now.I'd guess the Dodgers would go after him but I think they have plenty of young pitching combined with the current rotation. If they do
They aren't going to trade Skubal now just because they lost an arbitration decision. And they were always going to trade him midseason.
Think big, if he gets traded before the All-Star game he could become the first guy to win the Cy Young in both leagues in the same year
Framer always gets shaky more than others 3rd time through rhe lineup. But that sp rotation is stacked
Mets are going all the way this year.
Buck Martinez retiring. Don't have to watch games on mute any more.
Terrance Gore, a monster on the basepaths, has passed away due to complications from routine surgery.
Yasiel Puig found guilty in gambling case, faces up to 20 years in prison
A jury on Friday found former Dodgers outfielder Yasiel Puig guilty of obstruction of justice and making false statements to investigators.
The two-week trial in Los Angeles federal court concluded with the jury deliberating for nearly two days. Puig, 35, could face up to 20 years in prison. Sentencing is scheduled for May 26.
Puig faces a statutory maximum sentence of 10 years in federal prison on the obstruction of justice charge and up to five years in prison for the two false statement charges. He remains free on his own recognizance.
Terrance Gore, a monster on the basepaths, has passed away due to complications from routine surgery.
Gore was one of the most one-dimensional players to ever play in the major leagues. He had 62 extra base hits (and only 1 HR) in 2585 ABs across his minor and major league career and had a career slugging percentage of .274 in professional baseball. Needless to say, that isn't a profile that makes the majors very often.
More rings (3) than career RBI (1).
How easy is it for tourists to get tickets for a random Wednesday night regular season Red Sox game?
How easy is it for tourists to get tickets for a random Wednesday night regular season Red Sox game?
shouldn't be difficult but i'd buy as soon as your can to avoid paying a steep secondary market fee
they sold out every game from 2003 to 2013 and while still have regular sellouts - you should be able to buy some tickets through official channels for most games, so long as they aren't playing the yankees, you should be able to get tickets for a wed game
secondary market is easy to get them but you're likely paying a premium to do it
my suggestion is to sit in the bleachers - you'll get more of a local flavor
best view at a reasonable fee would probably be along the 1st or 3rd base general region
most fenway view would be to get seats up on the green monster
these are the general regions i'd look at

if you want a more family friendly environment with great views then go behind home plate
just be aware some of the seats are kinda facing a weird angle, most of the game happening in the diamond in the middle and some of the seats face the outfield so you'll be rotating your neck the entire time - best seats are considered to be right behind home plate
Cheers! Will have a look and buy them this week 😀
i think you'd enjoy spending some time in the bars nearby the park before and/or after the game as well
this is a really good read on some fenway lore
$48 each for the bleachers section seems alright
If Mark McGwire had Pete Rose's amount of at bats at his established home run rate, how many dingers would that project out to?
I got a feeling Ohtani is gonna give up about 20 runs tonight. I think I'll run over to the sportsbook.
