I did condemn trump over reposting the video - go back and read what I said. I understand that you think trump should be punished for what he did but whoever it was who did the same exact thing trump did should not be punished because trump is conservative and therefore anything he does is evil.
If a conservative and liberal both post the same racist video and you think only the conservative should be temp banned for it then yes, he is being banned for being conservative not because of the video. In the same way, if Biden and trump Biden said racist stuff you are ok with only punishing trump - but remember you want to punish him for being consecutive - not because he said something racist.

It's also worse than a random old having views from a different decade. When it comes to stuff like this, there is a concerted effort by the administration to creep as close as possible to the outer edge of what other Republicans and right wing media will tolerate and defend.

Trump is not simply "a conservative". And it this instance he is not being denounce simply because he is a conservative.

The story was discussed in the media and here. It's a outrage. It is a difficult thing for the media to write stories about day after day because there is no new information on which to report.
The only reason the Obama ape thing has been discussed more here is because a few people inexplicably decided to dispute whether it was racist.
I don’t disagree. It just seems that when we had weeks/months of discussion on whether or not Biden’s speech with red lights in the background was indicative of authoritarian communism, liberal media could be a bit more forceful in getting answers from the administration on this. It seems like other countries manage to focus their media on important issues from different angles and with different investigations for months on end without getting sidetracked by the next racist dogwhistle of the president.
At this point I’m not even sure he won’t gain support over this story.

It is convenient for American conservatives to pretend criticism of Trump is a criticism of conservatism. That makes it a debate of sides instead of universal political principle.
However, the main reason many American conservatives catch flack in debates on Trump not because of Trump, but because they do not denounce what are arguably horrible traits in a political leader and head of state: He is a criminal, a fraud, corrupt, a liar, hateful, incompetent and treats even important norms and principles like they do not apply to him.
There are exceptions, some are vocal and upfront about it, and credit where it is due, that is not easy in a movement which very aggressively goes after heretics. Still, a lot are also fairly muted in their responses, likely because they think it hurts their political views and ambitions. The point that group has had ten years to take in, is that Trump is far more dangerous to their views and ambitions than his critics.
Do liberals, progressive and other people who are not fan of conservatism in general use Trump as a lever in debate? Sure, that is politics. However, Trump is at this point the ideological, intellectual and political leader of American conservatism. That is not a reality created by liberals and progressives, that was the choice of American conservatives.

Personally I thought it was childish to have a seperate event .
I thought the half time show sucked as I do not like the music but had no interest in watching the other .
