I was able to use them for the Fri/Sat nights at Caesars right after Christmas, noice! Additional observations:

I was not able to use my other Free Nights in Vegas offer for Christmas night. However, I was able to use the comp nights listed on my calendar. One night before the weekend and another 3 nights after at other hotels.

I assume they’ll be some sort of fireworks display tonight for new year? If so, where is the best place to watch it from?

is circus circus literally right behind resorts world?

Was listening to a Vegas gambling podcast and the host mentioned that someone hit a jackpot for 1400 some odd dollars and the machine locked up but when the slot attendant paid the player out, there was no W2-G involved.

He asked the attendant how long she thought it would take for all of the machines to be reset from $1200 to $2000. She replied, "not soon enough, probably 6 months minimum."

Just found it interesting the casinos weren't more proactive.

Straight North. Both are on Las Vegas Blvd

Last time I went to play at aria, the regs flipped for the timed rake. I wasn't sure what it was but one told me I had to pay everyone's rake. Is this customary nowadays?

Has been in every timed game I've played in

Similar to credit card roulette when dining with poker players.

It's very common in time charge games. Your table was probably doing a "Time Flop." In Time Flops, the first numeric card on the board indicates the seat number that pays the table's time collection for that down.

Someone should be making certain everyone at the table is on board with Time Flopping, but sometimes that doesn't happen.

I don't play a lot anymore, but this was going to be my point and I think that is what the question was about. If you don't know this and are asked to pay the rake, then I think it's a valid question.

Got it, I'll be in Vegas again next month just wanted to be sure what the etiquette is nowadays, don't play much live cash since covid in Vegas

I've been in North Las Vegas for a while, and I only get a couple of hours to myself at a time. Is there a poker room up here? I can't seem to find one.

Yeah, Santa Fe Station casino has a poker room.

I went to Santa Fe Station and sat in the 1/2 NL game. In a pot just under $50 they dropped $2 in the left-hand slot and $7 in the right-hand slot. I left shortly after.

Reminds me of the padded drop chute from the 70s.

That said, there were two guys at the table who were clearly grinders and booking a profit.

I typically just play LHE @ Bellagio during WSOP, but I am considering at least a couple PLO sessions this summer. Does anyone have experience w/r/t where the best PLO games are during the summer? IIRC, Bellagio does not typically spread it except at very high stakes (I'm not that confident yet), but Aria always has it. I suppose the real question is whether the games at Aria will be good, or if it is worthwhile to hoof it to Wynn, Venetian, or maybe even the WSOP cash games.

we're considering moving from seattle to henderson this year - anything i should consider/think about

we're both accustomed to desert and heat - just wondering if there's anyone here who has any "i wish i knew this before moving to vegas" info to share

Do you know some place that do good monthly price in Vegas, preferably in walking distance of Grand Venetian or Caesar Palace.

Aria’s games are always good.
Cash games at Paris/Horseshoe during the series should be good as well.

The only thing I can think of is that the healthcare sucks pretty bad. If you have any chronic health conditions, you may want to think twice about moving here. The saying here is "if you're in pain, get on a plane."

In my experience, wynn has had the best games. I haven't played at wsop time though.

I think Henderson homeowners pretty much all have HOAs as well. I don't know if there is any difference in average fees.

My Henderson neighborhood has an LMA. Landscape Maintenance Association. They take care of the common area landscaping and signage. Thats it. They don't care what color your house is or how many cars are in the driveway. If you go all Karen on your neighbor and call them, they tell you to pound sand and call the city code enforcement if you think someone is in violation. They won't get involved.

My LMA costs me about $20 per month.

have you tried calling the poker rooms and asking them? or walk in and ask a supervisor.

Venetian and Resorts World does that for sure, probably close to all the rest too.

private games in a casino poker room are not uncommon

Caesars Palace runs a $5 double board bomb pot game with 5 cards. Just leaving the game as we speak

Bomb pot every hand? I hope to check it out during the WSOP if every regular participant doesn't go bust in the next three months, lol.
