Bomb pot every hand? I hope to check it out during the WSOP if every regular participant doesn't go bust in the next three months, lol.

Yes, every hand. I ended up playing in it and there were two tables running. There were quite a few local regs and they were talking as if they are here every week and have been doing these for a while. It will almost certainly be going during the series. They even do a Big O DBBP variant one day a week.

Venetian has an all bomb pots game and I went busto in one of the first hands. I'm on a extended lent fast from gambling because of it

Best news I’ve heard in years!! It will be interesting to see how the 1/3 and 2/5 Bellagio game develops.

Old enough to remember when 2/5 at the Bellagio was a 200 mix/max buyin. Good times.

Those buy-ins seem fairly standard. Jeez, how low were they before this?

Has anyone tried using a humidifier in their room? Any feedback and or recommendations? (I can obviously google, but kinda sick of sponsored posts and articles)

I'm pretty diligent about trying to hydrate before arriving in Vegas and while being there but last year was pretty brutal for whatever reason. Not getting any younger and certainly want to make the most of my time there and not get bogged down by getting dried up by the heat and AC.

If you aren’t drinking just carry around a huge reuseable water bottle. If you are drinking, good luck.

Are there bottle refilling stations in casinos now? Haven’t been looking for them, but might be a good idea.

Vegas water is terrible. Buy bottled water at CVS.

I usually have a bottle on me. Honestly I just wake up in my room super dried out since the AC is blasting all night which is not something I'm use and then add in the Vegas air in general. Slamming a pedialyte packet in the morning helps, but honestly the real goal is to increase the quality of my sleep while in Vegas.

Everything is terrible for you. Apparently Fiji water is also bad for you because of specific plastic bottles they use? Who knows, but at least it tastes amazing and it isn't Dasani.

Water bottle refilling stations are unicorns in most strip properties. some fitness centers may have some. off strip places like Stations and South Point have water fountains.

Conference centers are your go to outside of fitness centers. Just keep your eyes out and find one that is convenient enough. Luckily I enjoy walking and exploring in Vegas.

Cold spell:

Only 75Β° in Vegas at noontime.

i've only been turned down a couple of times when asking a bartender to fill up a water bottle with their nozzle

Any one of those smaller desktop humidifiers works well for a hotel room, can order one on Amazon for $30-50. I’ve been packing one for years for dry and arid climates like Vegas and Arizona. Run it all day/night - need to refill 1-2 daily. Make sure it’s running even when you’re out and about. Helps sleep and reduces sinus inflammation, which is how sleep is helped and keeps the vegas ick away and healthy when leaving. Also use nasal gel like Ayr.

I’ve had sinus issues and these remedies help.

And for all the gouging you see in Vegas I was amazed at how many places (including WSOP) you could refill a water can/bottle for free last year. Pleasantly surprised.

To update my own post. I ended up buying this random one on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0C9HBKQ5D

I used over the last week and it seemed to work great and certainly helped. Nothing life altering, not that I was expecting that. I still generally didn't sleep the best, but I no longer woke up all dried out which was an improvement / win.

From what I've been reading in the trip reports, do pretty much all of the major rooms run PLO DBBPs at dealer change in the $1-$3/$2-$3 NLHE games these days?

Venetian definitely does. Aria does for PLO, not sure about NL.

I didn’t make it over to the Wynn this trip, so couldn’t say.

They also do them in PLO games at the WSOP in Paris.
