Israel is taking the land for defensive purposes. Hezbollah has dug many tunnels into Israeli territory for future attacks. Israel can no longer depend on the Lebanese army or the UN. Israel must retain its own buffer zone.
There won’t be another Oct 7th style attack. There will only be angry and frustrated Palestinians.
