Re: not getting anything- is that because you think his death will be ruled a suicide? Was it expressly discussed at any point? Could just as easily be determined to be accidental, right?

No way Carol would've gotten a dime of the insurance. If, that soon after a policy takes effect, someone dies under anything but 100% crystal clear circumstances, they are going to leave no stone unturned in terms of making sure it was legit. And if it's suicide or can be painted as being done to collect, they don't pay.
The ending was going to be critical to how the show was perceived, at least for me. This is usually where the writers pull something out of left field that doesn't make sense. Also, the casting was pretty much spot on. The two detectives played perfectly off of each other and the older one cracked me up. I'd like to see some outtakes from the two leads. Never heard of P
Patriot is great, it's a dark comedy FYI.
Carol won. She has her hooks in Money Man
I also can't wait for the 2nd season... SPH Wichita.
I went into Euphoria thinking it'd be a train wreck, but I enjoyed it overall. It's not the same show in so many ways, but that could end up being a good thing. I still think I'd have preferred a model like Degrassi, where they just bring in new kids, but if they were sticking with the core cast they certainly could've done a lot worse, again based on what I saw in this episode.
Had to look that up on urban dictionary. Now I'm disappointed in myself for not catching it. As the older detective said so deadpanned: 'people like that?'
The more I think about DTF the more I like it.
What made it especially great was there was never a time when it felt like I was watching someone playing a part. Everyone blended so well into their roll and never made it feel like they were there just in hopes of gunning for an Emmy, a testament to the fact there was no weak link in the cast. That is so rare, and makes such a difference.
And they also did a really good job of bouncing from the past to the present to the farther past, etc. Not at all confusing, and it made us feel like we were piecing things together much like the detectives.
And kudos for keeping it 7 episodes. The Pitt is a fantastic show; but with every episode basically being 40 or maybe 50 minutes of actual new content, it easily could've been condensed into 13 episodes.
Also really liked DTF. Last ep was just so f’ing sad.

My wife and I were talking about the show today and I brought up that it didn't try and stretch it out. No filler, just the story.
The Boys can still put out a great episode when it doesnt just focus on gore, cum and dick jokes. Episode 3 was really good.
Also Ted is really funny show. Just got into season 2 and its alot better than the movies. The whole cast is amazing with the dad and mom even better than Ted himself. Fun 90's setting and it really got some hearth along with the rapid jokes, several laugh out loud moment each episode.
Well recommended

Ted is getting better and better. The mom and dad take a bit to get used to at first and then they are pretty funny. Ted is still the best for me though. Great show.
The Pitt finale delivered. A+
The Pitt finale was one of the best episodes of tv I’ve ever seen.
Yep, very good finale. What a great show.
I'm 2 episodes into Beef season 2. So far, it reminds me more of White Lotus lite than Beef season 1. So far, so good. I'm entertained with the chaos.

I didn't watch S1, but when told it was solid and S2 had no tie in, I gave it a try. Very solid so far (I'm also two episodes in), and for sure a White Lotus vibe. Looking forward to the rest, and then to S1.
Paradise went fire flames in season 2.
Paradise and The Pitt both with serious steps up in their sophomore seasons
I just finished DTF St Lous.

As much as I can appreciate the acting, interesting characters and unique story...
It is just such a sad story. I guess I was hoping for a whacky sexy crime drama and got a sad sad tragedy. I wish I didn't watch it.

Yeah it’s definitely a story about loneliness particularly male loneliness. I thought it was quite thought provoking and still in my head a bit

I agree with you and it made it a more memorable show for me. We got the ending we needed instead of the one we wanted.
It's also making me want to start Patriot but I've been busy. Definitely starting it by the weekend.
Loved DTF, so I watched S1 of Patriot. I thought it was very good. I'm on S2:E2 and want to quit. Reviews all look good, so maybe I'll wait a bit to restart.
On Patriot s02 the blond detective from Luxembourg is fantastic
loved s1 of patriot, but quit in s2
