I don't consider the Trump administration particularly truthful either but I also think he's far too narcissistic to potentially risk his own life, by staging an assassination attempt. First attempt by Crooks barely missed him. I think it's simply more likely he's one unpopular mfr, hence multiple attempts on his life.

And I know the secret service is professional and above politics and it doesn't matter who they are protecting.....but is it honestly reasonable to expect Trump/Vance/Hegseth culture to not infect the secret service? Like everyone else here is god awful at their job but I'm going to grind it out and not take any short cuts even though 99% of the time it'll be fine even if I do nothing?
