President Donald Trump

I assume it's still acceptable to have a Trump thread in a Politics forum?

So this is an obvious lie - basically aimed at

Alright. Complete this sentence:

Voluntarily intoxicated people deserve whatever happens to them except for rape and....

As written, this fill in the blank test is trivially easy, even for lagtight, because it includes getting hit by a stray bullet, being a passenger on a bus that goes over a cliff, etc.

You made your post in response to a hypothetical scenario from juan in which a pre op transgender woman had sex with a man who was so drunk that he was incapable of realizing that his sex partner had a penis.Unless we are talking about a clothes on blowjob, I don't see how such a scenario could occur unless the person was far, far, far too drunk to give consent. In other words

It's honestly not surprising that he doesn't get it. Dude seems to have little awareness about his own words. Heaps of confidence, though (unfortunately). Heaps of racism and sexism too.

Sure, but it's not meant to be difficult; I'm just curious what exactly he means by intoxicated people deserving "pretty much whatever happens to them," as it sounds like it's whatever bad thing that may have been prevented if the person wasn't intoxicated.

I'm still not sure what the point of the question was, but regardless of what it was, the question was directed to people here. Rick apparently doesn't believe that you have to be interested in dating a transgender woman in order to prove you are not transphobic. So what was the point? Was the hope that someone would give some version of the innocuous answer I gave and then

I live a fairly conservative life, but am political liberal because I have no desire for me or the government to dictate how others live theirs. As long as you're not hurting anyone and it is a about consenting adults, go nuts. I'm not going to understand half of it, but nor am I required to and nor is it any of my business.

That said, assuming a hypothetical date or some such where things are not easily spottable, I'd certainly expect a heads up what to expect in the genitalia department. However, I recall reading an essay by a transgender person who explained that this was not always that simple, because the information could be used for hate crimes, basically people who use dating apps to find and lure transgender people in order to assault them. Also, it could be tough to gauge how some people would react, so they preferred meeting and testing the waters first. Sometimes this world is shitty I guess.

So, in cases where the truth is not very apparent, I guess the price for that reality is the the odd awkward moment. Is that okay? I don't know, but I don't see a good answer as long as the world keeps being shitty and filled with hate crime either. Though, I'd say disclosing surprises in the genitalia department should come well before anything intimate. We all have our sexual and romantic preferences. Barring some extremes beyond what we are discussing here, there is nothing wrong with that.

That’s rickroll. Not worried about the 20% that have STDs but the .0001% that may have had a penis before they transitioned. What a litmus test.

A liberal arts degree probably hasn't been a 'path to success' in over 20 years, unless it's a Master's Degree.

I'm kinda repeating myself here, but American conservatives actually believe this kind of nonsense. And then they wonder why rural conservatives are under-represented in higher ed and why they've lost so much ground economically.

by geezerchess

Asking was fine and dandy like cotton candy.

But you also drew an unjustified conclusion:

Anyway, glad we cleared that up and this national nightmare is now behind us.

Don't do anything. We're good!

For a 70 year old dude, with no consensual sexual encounter experiences whatsoever, maybe you are the least qualified person alive to be laying down the law on what kind of sexual assault drunk people deserve.

I won't pretend to have all the answers when it comes to the particulars of dating as a transgender person. I'm sure it's complicated.

It’s genuinely hilarious how many people are deathly terrified of being tricked into ****ing a biological male and being deathly terrified that it makes they gay

It’s genuinely pathetic how many people allow this fear to shape their world view

There are a shocking number of guys who don't even wash their *******s because they're afraid touching their own hole is gay.

If someone got drunk and a “woman” with a penis had sex with them and didn’t tell them, would you have a problem with that? If someone, how much of a problem?

In my mind (what's left of it), there was no suggestion that the sex was nonconsensual.

If the sex was nonconsensual, then of course that's rape, which is an act of violence that nobody deserves.

I made it clear several times that nobody deserves sexual assault.

And I'm only 68-years-young, not an old man of 70.

Has there been a survey I missed?

I don't understand. Except in the specific scenario I mentioned, how would a transgender woman with a penis accomplish having sex with a drunk man without the man realizing that the transgender woman had a penis. There is no way that could happen unless the man was so incredibly drunk that he had no idea what was going on, in which case we presumably would be talking about a sexual assault.

Such a fear is particularly unfounded when you consider how difficult it would be to get tricked into such an encounter.

It's a whole thing, man. A significant portion of the population believe that skid marks are normal.

If Juan's scenario more-or-less entails sexual assault, then I was foolish to suggest that the person deserved what happened to them.

Not to mention the truly hateful, homophobic and Just downright weird assertion that the singular goal of a trans woman is to say GOTCHA! to a guy they just let **** them

OK. If you misread his post, then there is no need to belabor the point.

Yeah. I expect that surprising an imminent sexual partner by revealing a penis is the goal of very, very few transgender women.

this reminds me of a story from our favorite colony.

Even the haters have to be impressed how he shoehorned that one in there.
