LLMS have taught us that intelligence is an emergent property of language and it follows that consciousness does not exist.
On the other hand, my own consciousness is the only thing I have ever actually experienced so it is the only thing that CAN'T be an illusion.
I have said before that I think the way we receive our news and other information is a huge impediment to promoting truth or reconciliation.
Conservatives pathologically reinforce traditional gender roles.

I take your point about the women who populate Fox News, but it's a little more complicated with the men. I've never used a dating app either, but part of the explanation also could be that pre-op transgender women are only a tiny fraction of the people on dating sites. You probably can't sort for heterochromia either.

The Republican obsession with trans people needs to be studied by psychologists for decades. Maybe the greatest moral panic I've lived through, they literally can't stay focused on anything else. Gas is headed toward 10$/gal because there's a shooting war in the Middle East and Rick is melting down over dating apps.

I should add that I don't think this is a moral panic at all among a lot of the people who influence the social agenda of the Republican party. For a lot of those people, the seeming obsession with transgender everything is 95% tactical.
I would make the same observation about a lot of social issues, but especially this one. I think that a lot of the Republican derposphere is constantly on the lookout for issues where they believe the progressive edge of the Democratic party is misaligned with middle America. And the goal with those issues is to blow them up and make them seem like signs of imminent and profound social decay to people who are easily manipulated by their social media and news algorithms. And if the right wing derposphere can force the entire Democratic party to take the bait and assist in blowing up the issue (which is often the case), then all the better from their perspective.

Hilariously, the fact that some people are not born with two eyes is CRITICAL to evolution. It's not just some triviality to be ignored, it's how evolution works. Without these random mutations, life as we know it wouldn't have evolved.
But yes, the statement "people are [generally] born with 2 eyes" is correct. The statement "people can only be born with two eyes" is just as incorrect as saying biological sex is binary, or even gamete production is binary.
While some may consider the difference trivial, it is not, and in discussions of a technical nature, precise language matters greatly even if some try to dismiss it as semantics so they can continue to be transphobic.
